Nice looking car now... looks like a big E46, but with more modern lines. Very clean.

I do hope the 760 retains the "wide grille" option. I thought that gave the whole car a very aggressive look to it.

I kind of feel sorry for the people who bough the car before...I mean they spend a lot of money getting it and few years latter the car shape changes..

I still hate the looks though.. Looks fat from behind and the front is acceptable now..

damn i wish these diesel cars would be available in Canada! Theres only 3 models available here.... 745i 745Li and 760Li. Some diesel bimmers would definitely be welcomed with praise. I love these cars!

same feelings here. I do think it looks much more elegant overall, but those tail lights look narsty - much prefer the sleek, futuristic looking ones on the current 7 series.

when is this facelift supposed to roll out onto the market? next yr?

We share the same opinion. The old ones gave it a very high tech look, these look like they came off a cheap sedan. The front looks nicer, more elegant and the whole seems to give it a better image as a limo. Me likes :D

I really like it!

I have always been a fan of the 7-series, even after the bangle-redesign, and this looks awesome.
- The front-end looks only slightly changed, with rounder and slightly slimmer headlights, and a different-looking front bumper.
- The back looks like the trunklid lights are taller, and match the taillights better, and the rear bumper looks cool too.
- The inside looks...virtually unchanged, aside from the new steering wheel

overall...i still love it 8)

I'm really looking forward to this summer, cause I'll be working for the BMW dealer again, and will likely be able to drive several of these. We'll see :D

Oh jesus, perhaps because i was expecting a big improvement of the 7 series because of the criticism of people in general, to be honest, i do see the car as ugly as it was in the previous model, so it doesnt have improved its looks; everything is cuestion of everyones tastes...in this moment i consider the mercs the most beautiful cars of the german premium brands (Merc, audi and BMW) followed by Audi (which it has gone a bit backwards with the new A6 or the 5 door A3) and BMW in the last position (the only model that i find a good looking car from them is the Z4)

its pretty nice looking, i do like the headlights better however the trunk still looks a little off, most noticeable in the first picture, but overall its a good "freshening"

wow, now THAT is a great looking car! much improved over the earlier versions. the front reminds me of the last 5-series, albeit vaguely.

Now it looks like a Volvo from the direct front... Overall it looks better, but it can't compare in anyway to the last generation...that was just a gorgeous car.

From the rear it looks like the Lexus LS430

Immeasurably better looking than the original E65...can't wait to see them start hitting the streets. It's a bit of a shame they couldn't finish the taillamps all the way though, as there's still quite a bit of a disconnect between the rear fenders and the trunklid.

I forgive BMW now that they've rectified their mistake.

Lights look mismatched as they are two different heights and also way too big. Boot still flabby and grille too wide. I'd say it's a giant step sideways trying to make something like this look more conservative, instead of being different the back is now ugly and the front is gaping and boring.

Everso's a bit harsh. I'm a bimmer fan, but I don't like it. It's not ugly, just bland... generic even.

The M5 is the right approach to a new BMW saloon. It's different, modern, aggressive, and has huge road presence. The E90 3-series is damn good as well - can't wait to see it with an M bodykit, or even better, in M3 form.

But this? Let's be honest men. Check out the sideview pic. It looks like a bloody Nissan Cefiro (old infiniti saloon) for fuck's sake.

The 7-series design was completely off. Wrong proportions, wrong details, wrong execution, wrong timing. I'm a big BMW fan, but I can't bring myself to defend this car because it really is a big gaping wound on BMW's design push.

Definitely. The front has improved. Like other's I don't like the extra big lamps on the trunk lid.

But overall I really like it, it reminds me of the early to mid 90's beamers, more of a squarey not so modernized look.

It looks great...except I can't help think those taillights were stolen from the Audi A8 generation....

I like the pre-refreshed 7-series better. This one, it's just bland. It makes the Audi A8 look all thet much better looking.

^^ It does make the A8 (the one without the new grille mind you) look all the much more handsome actually. Even the XJR (with the bodykit) looks miles better than this.

If only BMW showed the 5-series with the M bodykit as the launch car for BMW's new design direction, maybe people would have accepted the whole approach better. It is really unfortunate that BMW chose such an unappealing design to promote their new design language to the world.

I mean c'mon... new 5 with M bodykit -slash- M5? Great (except in maroon. ugh). 6 series - slash - M6? Great, depending on the colour (red is just so wrong on that car). Z4? See 6 series. 1 series? 50:50... interesting... but not spectacular or memorable. New 3? Finally, a great design again.

7? Argh. REDESIGN THE WHOLE BLOODY THING ALREADY DAMMIT!

Better than before but still ugly interiour. Needs to been seen live to even compare with the other luxury sedans in exteriour design. Remember that on these pictures it´s a lwb version and it´s much better looking than the swb one. And i´m not jealous at all if anyone wounder.
