 Holy Shit! I hope this is true. Could this be the F60 that i've heard so many times?
I specially like this part: "Ferraris best minds are turning to one of the most amazing projects that will ever be developed at Maranello" Obrigado pelos scans chest3r! :D |

thanks for the article, but a little big :D you can see the printing dots

That's why many say the next supercar will be called F60. |

project name: Ferrari FX name given by press before real name was known: F60 reason why JC kept callin it F60: he can be a f00l when it comes to cars (really he can: he also said the F40 was the only car to do 0-60 in 3.2 secs, but thats the McLaren F1s time, the F40 does 3.9 or 3.8 (im not sure). And he said the F40 was the lightest of the cars they tested in that episode, which also wasnt true: F40: 1200 kg's, F1: 1140 kg's dunno why but in that 1 episode JC got all of his facts mixed up |

I hope this would be the greatest supercar ever made. One more proof of what Ferrari can do, and what they have been learning with the F1 team. I think this car would be much better than the Bugatti Veyron ( if anyone of them would be produced ). Ferrari will teach Bugatti how to made cars :P :P I don't understand why Clarkson keeps calling F60 to the Enzo. I think F60 was the name of the project and then they decided to call it Enzo, because of Enzo Ferrari. I'm I right ??? |

The 3.8~3.9 seems about right, i've seen a lot different times tough, depending on the tyres, etc... I guess you can't trust Clarckson when it comes to numbers. :) |
nice !!! very nice !!! thanks for this great article . I hope so much it will come out, another perfect ferrari :D thx
|
Gucom I think you're right. :D
I didn't know if F60 was the real name of the project or just the name given by press. I didn't saw your post because I was righting mine while you were righting yourse. Sorry! |
Nice I think I am actually kinda liking the new design! :D I hope it turns out to be pretty damn good! I wanna see one zoom by on the streets! :D
|
Well, well....
And Porsche's answer to this? I think someone should "unleash" the 962 Dauer Le Mans...  |

Thats pretty cool, thanks for the article. I'm very curious to see this "active bodywork". The airbrake/spoiler deal on the SLR is obvious, but I wanna see how the front splitter and such will change with the conditions.
Pretty cool, only thing that sucks is it'll be years before we see anything or have solid facts about the car. Screw the three seater idea, two people is enough! LOL |

the pictures only autocar's impression of what it will look like..... the final product wont necessarily look anything like that....
And if you turn to the front of autocar, you'll see the BMW M9 supercar that this will probably have to compete with..... hopefully including a 700hp V10 based on the current williams F1 engine |
thanks for scanning that article - interesting read. tho i must say, i think that's a bit of a stretch for credible automotive journalism. speculating on something that far in the future and putting in a "computer generaged" image of what the car might look like (ie: a poor chop job of an enzo w/ the F430's lights and a tweaked nose) does not exude credibility. a bit of fantasy journalism, when they could really be covering any one of the more current supercars which are emerging onto the market, IMO.
nonetheless, nice info on the seating arrangements, and active suspension/steering/aero etc. |
Yes this is the new f60 , the enzo was project FX as stated upstairs , the computer generated image sucks , i bet it wont look near that .
|
wow definitly an interesting article. thanks for the scan. nice to hear information on what their enzo successor could be like, it was certain that ferrari wouldnt just rest on the enzo. with koenigseggs and saleen S7s running around with over 700/800 hp threatining the enzo's title :P

Looks intresting though im a little sceptic, the Enzo has just gotten off the production lines with the 400th, and investment in a new enzo might be quite big, not that ferrari doesnt have the money but its quite soon to release a new Enzo, i dont doubt they are just developing it, but i give it 5 more years or more

I don't believe it!!! I think this is very unrealistic, at least considering ferrari's behaviour over the past years. Ferrari is a company who always had customers as first priority, they were never focused on sales numbers (at least that's what LM said) so it's hard for me to believe this story, especially considering that enzo owners are considered ferrari's best clients.
|
It's strange coming from a guy (Hilton Holloway) who works for EVO for example. Very strange!!!! :?
|
It's not necessarily a "new" enzo, its just ferrari's progression of the supercar, the succedor to the F50 if you will
|
I really think.. this is the F60..
in around 800 bhp 8) |
looks like they took an Enzo as a base and then made it ugly :(
i really really hope its just an unofficial cg render like it says in the caption, cuz thats one nose that i could never learn to like. it just looks fucked up. even if its faster than snot (which the Enzo already is), i dont think i could truly love it with those looks. |

I knew about this idea for a long time but to finally read such extensive stuff about it makes me shiver :D

The F40 run began two years later in 87 and finished in 92. The F50 came 3 years later in 95 and ran till 97. The Enzo began five years later in 02 and ran through about 2004 The F60 could start in three years later in 07 and run for a few years. Ferrari is one of the only companys to make money off of their supercars and they sell just as many as they want. I don't expect them to go very long without a supercar in their lineup. |
Who says that this is the new f60 is right...Expect a 800+hp JTS UniAir V12.
|
i wonder how much this car will be? since Enzo is selling second hand at 1.3 mill US

is this finally the ferrari that will be able to be beat mclaren f1 ... finally, sounds interesting, but it is all just speculations
|
^honestly, i think they could have done it w/ the enzo if they wanted to, but they made the conscious decsion to not go down that path. it would be a nice lil occurence tho - ferrari, top speed record holder. has quite a good ring to it. and besides, if they ever get tired of winning F1, they could resort to this.
|
thanks for the scan chest3r. Can we please have one with higher resolution so we can read the text.
As excited as i am for this future car, doesn't it seem wierd how Ferrari is becoming so active in the last few years. I though the MC12 was supposed to be a super Enzo for Lemans. Whats this one for ? Don't really see the point of building it becos as usual they will not try to beat the Mclaren F1 speed records. |
^^ Records aren't everything...
|
wow this was certainly unexpected!! But never the less it is very good news, cannot wait to see how this car developes

**Updated info:**
Saw this on Ferrarichat: An email from someone within the Ferrari organisation "Super Enzo. 833 HP fixed front and rear wing one seat non homologated (just for track use) interior entirely in carbon , (no leather, not even the seat) extremely low production expected in end 2006." ------------- Not sure if I believe this, but still I want it to be true. Also, see how different this is from the magazine article? Odd... Or maybe Ferrari is just messing with the media, and in the end this "Super Enzo" or whatever it will be called won't be quite what we're expecting... |

I want this to be true, but I doubt it.
The mclaren record doesn't interest me. Ferraris are not about records. They are about passion, speed and elegance. And I wouldn't care if the next enzo ow whatever would have "only" 500 hp. As long as the car would handle great and look good, that's all I need. The crazy hp war gets on my nerves. |
McLaren have almost exactly the same philosophy as ferrari though... they made a car that was all about on road driving experience, not records, a record was just a by-product of arguarbly the greatest car ever.
For me the enzo is a little too track biased - even at the Nordschliefe it grounds out on some corners - but as you say komotar, its not about power, its about the whole package; something that Bugatti fail to realise designing their pig of a car :P As long as Ferrari keep their philosophy but perhaps make it more of a road biased car than track then I think they're on to a winner - to be honest I can't see ferrari getting it wrong like Bugatti :P |
