No mere GT3 update, GT4 is reengineered to the core with a fresh physics engine, enhanced graphics, new game features, and painstaking attention to detail. Developing such a large-scale game has sent members of the 70-person staff around the globe to obtain the data and images necessary to recreate the cars and tracks with greater detail than had been previously demonstrated. We caught up with the team at the Twin Ring Motegi course in Japan where 150 vehicles were going through an assembly line process over three days.

good as, it only i had a sony 2. i think this game is by far the best car game but it is all that is making me want a sony.
here is a look at the competition, Project gothem 2, is no were near as good but it has some nice effects and graphics.

plus PGR2 has an enzo,lol

GT4 will win that battle for sure.i cant wait for this game

and you can't slam off of corners and keep the same speed


I have high hopes for GT4, to me, GT3 was a flop. It had nothing over GT2 other than better graphics. The only thing I still don't like about GT4 is the six car field, otherwise it's sounding excellent.

the only thing i think that pgr2 is better then gt4 is that MAYBEEEE it has better graphic, and it has enzo ferrari and porsche lisesnse.. taht is the only thing that is better

pgr2 is not a simulator,, is more of a mix arcade and a bit of simulation,,

yes, very true and the crashing in PRG is terrible, you go at 160mph into a right angle corner and you come out doing 160mph in tyhe oppistie direction.

i hope pgr2 isnt as hard as the original. i still havent finished that game, and its not through lack of trying. anyone here finished it? (without cheating)

There was a list going around that there is Holden Monaro,Commodore,Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo and XR8 and GT in the game.Is this true?I was also told that a couple of the makers of the game where out here to check out our cars..

No, I meant PGR2 has damage and GT4 doesn't.

cho_888, crashing in GT4 is ridiculous. In PGR, if you hit a wall, it'll actually slow you down, where as in GT1 -GT3, you kept the same speed.

I have nothing against GT4, I hope it's as good as you guys do! I just hope it's a huge improvement over GT3.

If you granturismo.com was working, I'd get you guys a car list, but it's been down for a few weeks now. If there is anything about GT4 you wanted to know, that is the place to go to.

man, i cant wait for this game. THEY FINALLY PUT THE MUSCLE CARS BACK IN! I love GT2 for that. I hope they do it like GT2 and put it on 2 seperate disks (arcade/simulation) that was the best way, and they got a lot more cars and tracks in that way :D. this game is gunna be the best game ever, im sure of that.

I truely hope they make more than a 6 car field. At least make it 10!! Having only 6 cars racing against you sometimes gets lonely. Especially in endurance races.

it would be even better if they could get liesences for the actually series..like le mans grand am series( i think thats wha its called) etc. then u could start with regular stock cars , and work up in the ranks...kinda have more of a career mode but with lots of different racing series incorporated into it!

i really hope that list is true,a list very similar to that was posted a few months ago and then was reveiled it was a fake,it was just a list a group of people put together,a sorta wish list in a way.

Its got my Holden Monaro 427...I hope they make it that you can play over the internet against over players.If so,we should plan something?I competition with class of cars and tracks.People race their Dream cars or Cars they own or something like that against other peoples dream cars and there own.

I one of the biggest fans on the Gran Turismo series. Unfortuantely that list is not real :cry:. There is no official car list yet beacause they honestly don't know. Here is a link to a realiable source saying it is a wishlist.

I doubt it will be January... consider they are releasing the teaser December 4th.. I doubt the complete 4th episode will be out after just a month... IMO it will be May or June :(

I'm 99% we won't see Ferraris or Lambos in GT4...

Im not so sure about that. I read an atricle in Game Informer that they are trying to license cars that they have never had in the game before.

The said the same for GT2 and GT3.. untill the last moment... and since they are already late, I hope they won't lose other precious months (for us), trying to have new licenses...

I think it would be worth the wait to make the game absolutely perfect. I would honestly wait another year. Who knows? All we can do is hope.

IMO the most important thing is not to let the hype rise... :D I still think GT is the best console game, but to many ppl expect to much from its AI, weather conditions, tire and engine wear, cars and tracks ;)

I know but its time to set another bench mark! I believe thats what Half Life 2 will do I am hoping Gran Turismo 4 will do the same :D

That is the strangest thing I have ever heard :? Gran Turismo not realistic? Read about how they create the game and then tell me that its not realistic. You won't know what I mean until you do.

That might be morea curate especially if it was compiled from actual screen shot from the game. Very impressive brembo.
