Happy birthday st-anger. Everyone at JW and PC want to wish you a happy birthday and express our gratitude for the extreme sacrifices that you make for those at JW and everywhere else you come in contact. I can’t tell you how much I have learned from my brief association with you. The funny thing is that the most valuable things I have learned isn’t about Porsches or automotive physics, while I certainly have learned a lot in this regard from you, but how to treat others and show genuine kindness. Let me use a few illustrations to share with you and others what I mean.

For those of you who aren’t aware of this st-anger is spending his birthday and Christmas holiday in Africa providing much needed help. Normally, because I know st-anger is a modest person and likes to down play what a great person he is, I wouldn’t publicize this but he has referred to the work he does in Kenya several times ( http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...185513&#185513 ) so I hope I am not out of line mentioning it here again. I bring it up because personally, a sacrifice like that puts things into perspective for me and is one of the best examples I can think of, of the true meaning of the Christmas season.

Let me mention one other example, although I could go on and on. There have been several times when I have made an error in the things that I have posted :oops: . Usually when that happens here or anywhere else the person who notices makes a big deal about catching the other person in an error. Not st-anger. Instead whenever that has happened, st-anger casually points out my mistake to me in private in a PM.

That kind of level of caring for other peoples feelings is what st-anger is all about. I’m sure that is the reason that he spends so much time at JW providing material and information, because as strange as it may sound he really cares about all the JW members.

Well happy birthday st-anger and enjoy the time together with your wonderful wife this holiday season. I truly appreciate the time and sacrifice that you have made in creating PC and I as well as everyone else can attest to the fact that it isn’t the same without you. We all look forward to the time next year when things will be back to normal and we will be able to learn a little bit more from you :wink: .

I thought everyone could wish st-anger a happy birthday and express their appreciation for all that he does by adding their thoughts to this post. Since st-anger will be away for a while he most likely won’t see this for several weeks so feel free to add your well wishes long after today.

what lakatu said about St.-Anger caring about the JW members is no joke. When i had a few questions about some of the deeper areas of JW, as a noob (not about the Vault) he took the time to send me a lengthy and thurough response that answered baisicly all my questions, and even gave me some much appreciated encouragement.

He is one of the reasons i've rooted myself into JW, and continue to anchor my position (whatever it may be at this point :D ) on this killer site 8)

so, i raise my beer to St.-Anger and shout HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Thanks for your advice and hope you enjoy your day! :D

…hi guys, back again from Kenya now for some hours – earlier as planned due to some private issues in combination with the terrible flood in south-east asia, we had to leave three days in advance - thank god everything turned out to be ok - well, the word “holiday” ´s a bit misplaced as lakatu already hinted, but I don´t want to bore u guys with my private stuff anyways – well, unfortunately the topic´d be a very very sad one so it´s better to cut that out… :|

…well, what can I say – THANK U GUYS for your kind words and although i´m happy for all of your good wishes let me plz highlight one…

…lakatu my friend, a HUGE and honest “thank you” for your lines – believe me, i´m truly touched by your words, thx again and – as with anyone else here - i´m already looking forward to talk with u again when i´ll be back – it´s because of members like u that I even try harder to find some extra time for JW and posting stuff, so I think all the other members should thank u as well… :D

…unfortunately I don´t have much time right now, all I can say now is that u guys out there can be 101% sure that the Porsche team and myself will try even harder to make “PC” a special place on JW – as I said, I have LOT´S OF plans for 2005 and we´ll do our best to put everything in action, there´ll be many specials and surprises and I can promise in summer/july 2005 PC´ll be >THE< place to be – right now i´m already planning a huge :wink: thing for then but won´t say anything more now…. :wink:
…besides I think we did quite a good job in 2004, again, i´d be more than happy to hear some feedback every now and then – what´s good, what´s bad, what should we concentrate on, what can we do to improve everything – something like that…

to make it short, I hope i´ll see all of u guys in “PC” every now and then in 2005 contributing your thoughts as well – “PC” should NOT NOT NOT be a one man show – that´s all i´m expecting from u…!!! :wink:
