GT4 delayed again!
 

Was at my local gaming store yesterday to put in a pre-order for the game and the clerk told me that a Sony rep was there last week and had said that the US release date has been pushed back until the end of February 2005.

He really didn't know any of the details as to why.

Can anyone else confirm this?

yeah, there was another thread that ws bitching about it. i JUST got a PS2 (have to send it to sony so they can fix it though) but yes, sony did delay the release again.

yeah, I'm really pissed about this ...and I want to kill someone..but the thing is that GT has been the most incredible game ever made and its being delayed for a good reason..and I'm just glad they made it in the first place..I just hope that the delays are for something better and its not becauase of something stupid..

I was told that the actual game is done. Thet the delay had something to do with the online gameplay aspect of it.

I just heard about this from my EB Games rep, and I was sooooooo looking forward to picking up my pre-ordered copy next week. :cry:

i just pick up gt4 demo yesterday
the 150sec limits really suck dicks.. othe than that it is great

but i found a few bug... when reverse , there are no light.. handbreak on., no light.. and is freaking hard to drive straight with the regular controller.. i had no problem with prologue and gt3 driving straight

graphics are EXCELLENT and sound is just amazing also.. u could could hear tire and road noise.. amazing

yeah I checked the date on our computers at work and it got moved back to February 4th.

Dont mind how long the actual production takes, as long as it will be good as GT3 and better....i suspect there holding out for the new ps to be realeased.....

Oh man this sucks not again I am so pissed off about this. I know I dont sound pissed but trust me I am oh well. agggghhhh

they already have a new Playstation out and the PSP is due soon. I doubt that GT4 was developed under a system that is not far enough along in pre-production.

They delayed it cause they have a few finishing touches to put on the game and they're were gonna have problems getting it distributed and stuff so instead of screwing up what's going to be the greatest game ever made by rushing it at the very end they're gonna take their time and do it right. Deep down i'm glad they're devoted to releasing a quality product.

Maybe GM got pissed at Polyphony about the embargo on the C6 Z06 likeness and had them delay the game so that the C6 Z06 could be legally included... :lol:

Tomorrow or the day after, the store where I buy my games will get some japanese copies and for sure one will be playable on the BIG screen they have there.. i absolutely MUST avoid the store untill GT4 will be out in the Western markets or else I would end up buying yet another PS2 (japanese ;))

I've been reading a some GT4 forums and they're claiming that GT4 will be able to output 1080i signals for HDTV. I find the claim surprising seeming the PS2 isn't spec'd to do that.
