Something strange about owning two Diablos that are the same model and a Lotus Elise.

I think he did. On his website the orange Diablo is listed as a car he currently has and the yellow one is listed as a car he used to own.

I think the writing's on the wall here. Why would anyone keep a Lexus SC430 (a car that is positively crap whichever way you look at it) and sell an Elise? Why would anyone want to sell a 6.0VT with beautiful wheels and a Tubi and get the same car but with disgusting wheels and standard exhaust? Answer these two questions and I think you'll see this guy is not a hardcore petrolhead but more of a poser.

Doesn't sound like he gave it much of a chance either Right so I guess he's driven the dealers Elise??? if it is indeed brand new (delivery mileage) then he hasn't driven this one... so he's ordered it and then decided from a probably short drive its not quite as good as a diablo...... No shit Sherlock!!.......... But for the money you can't do much better... especially now the engines are a more reliable toyota source IMO

Yes, he bought it to drive around in for a short period and then sell it off. He said so on LamboChat.

It's the comments on the Elise, the wheels of the orange Diablo and the previously owned Diablo kit car that's worrying me most...

He's not even done that though it says BRAND NEW in big capitals and that it is unregistered and the warranty will start for the new owner i.e it is un driven by him IMO so he's talking bollocks IMO he can't call a car brand new if he has driven around in it IMO

Also a vehicle being unregistered doesn't mean it's impossible to drive it on the public road. It's just not legal, but physically possible it is.

Yeah you got what i was basically saying mate, i'll clarify a little as my post wasn't entirely clear LOL....basically i'm calling him a bullshitter for saying it is Brand New, if he claims to have driven it then he cannot call it brand new... brand new= delivery mileage IMO. My other point was if he had done a mear few miles in it say 50-100 i wouldn't say he has really got to know/ learnt how to drive it properly............ so his excuse for selling is also bullshit but then it is EBAY :lol:

Of course he is lying a bit, but hardly anyone would notice since there are many car manufacturers that deliver their cars with, say, 100 miles on the clock. I don't think many Americans would know the standard number for a new Lotus now that the marque has only just returned to the States.

Also I used to have all this guys hummer videos way back when. Anybody willing to use their hummer gets my respect.

He should seriously be shot for selling such an amazing elise for no reason... he even says on that website that he was waiting like 6 months for it after it was ordered, and made references to a 2 year long countdown to him getting it..... why wait so long for such a great car only to turn around and sell it? :roll:

Maybe he didn't really know how driving one would be.

I am sure that the Elise has to be an incredibly original driving experience of its own.

I bet he is selling the Lotus because the acceleration wasn't comparable to that of a Diablo. Of course, the Elise would destroy the Diablo on a tight track. But then again he seems to be an attention whore.
