hmmm... looks exactley the same as the current M Class

yg60m 11-14-2004 05:07 AM

Yes, it doesn't change a lot ... just hope the inside will be better made and drawn than actual ...

blah 11-14-2004 05:22 AM

California Plates, i wonder where at. If i find out where at ill go hunting.

komotar 11-14-2004 05:31 AM

The front looks alot like the front of the previous model.
The lines are alot sharper obviously, but what I'm intrested in, is the back.

I hope it looks good.

It's and evolution not a revolution and in this case I don't like it.

bmwmpower 11-14-2004 05:46 AM

its look like the old version, version m55 amg will be brutal

SilviaEvo 11-14-2004 05:52 AM

The rear looks uglier but it looks pretty much the same just a few tweaks here and there

adamk24 11-14-2004 07:54 AM

I was gunna say.... looks very similar to the old M class.... but then I saw that everyone else said the exact same thing, so I couldnt be like everyone else. With that in mind I decided to say something different.....

Think about this.... a 630hp SLR powered version......... it could happen

SPEEDKILLAR 11-14-2004 08:06 AM

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well, I actaually don't care about the exterior of this car, I only hope the interior has improved a loooooooooot better or else I will become :x :x :x :x :x :x

davide 11-14-2004 09:38 AM

looks sexy!

a lot better I think! :D

OVERLORD_CHRIS 11-14-2004 10:48 AM

It looks sort of like a Merc version of the MDX.

LOL, yeah, it does kind of, but my first impression was, Kia Sorento.

nurbrun 11-14-2004 01:51 PM

it looks ok but those rear lights!?!? what is mercedes thinking?

5vz-fe 11-14-2004 02:02 PM

nice minivan mercedes got there =P~ I am sure most soccer moms will like it LOL.

Ugly...no, fugly styling. Low ground clearence, long wheelbase makes it totally not able to do offroad stuff, period. I think they may as well take away the low range part of the car.

gigdy 11-14-2004 02:27 PM

I agree it look more like a minivan then the last one.

schnell318 11-14-2004 02:33 PM

Looks too much like the current model...boring :?

RC45 11-14-2004 02:42 PM

LOL - and the "Americanization" of Mercedes continues... :P *suckers* LOL

If by improving you mean lower build quality, less quality control, more failures due to bad workmanship, more recalls due to bad materials and overall lower standards due to United Auto Workers Union liberal/democrat labour - then yes I would agree.

:)

BMW doesnt seem to have a problem with american workers, Nor do the American Car Companies now. Neither does acura. To me its just that Mercedes is hiring shitty workers. Because its not just cars made here, JC was talking about the CL65 and that is made in germany.

I share your opinion guys, because this new Merc ML is more like a Kia Sorento than german SUV.

i think id know, my family has had about 4 of them, including the current Z.

blah 11-14-2004 07:12 PM

If thats not enough, i have probably 7 friends with BMWs, not any of them have had problems. Also RC are you saying that american workers suck? Are you saying theres something wrong with america?

skituner 11-14-2004 07:15 PM

dont like the current m- class and by the looks of the pics i wont like the next one

callen 11-14-2004 10:52 PM

I hate those bubbly wheel arches. looks like a cartoon car. same as on the dodge darango.

jorge 11-14-2004 10:56 PM

Not very different to the outgoing model, but i think the front end looks very nice :P

neilo63 11-15-2004 06:56 AM

Fugtastic

WhiteP 11-15-2004 11:27 AM

rofl....

I had a meeting with Daimler's senior management a month or so ago. They were very bullish on the build quality side of things, and said they were going for #1 ranking in the JD power survey (i tried hard not to laugh). Anyway, my opinion is that they won't get it, but we will definitely see an improvement in the quality of Mercedes cars over the coming years, and that should especially be applicable to the new models.

Whats the chances of them comming to there sinces before they make that??

MercedeSChink 11-15-2004 05:12 PM

looks like shit in my opinion, they should've added some fender flares or something...btw, basically wat you see is what you're gonna get...this picture has been confirmed by one of my good friends, that's one of the head of sales in Canada, which actually have seen the car in person...

Mers 11-15-2004 06:40 PM

IMO, it's just not innovative enough...
How can mercedes expect to really compete with BMW or VW with a car like that.. In fact, it seemingly hasn't even grown that much... One of the worst things about the ML was it's size...and it's still the same. Also, I hate the taillights... From what i can see they're a bit too low... Dear god, if this has the build quality of the current mercedes'... they will need a miracle to compete with BMW...
