Toyota Supra News
I know part of this link (talking about the C6 Z06) is over in RC45's section...but what the hell...let's talk about the Supra. :D
http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=101005 http://img26.exs.cx/img26/7136/supra-V.jpg Still pretty damn hard to tell wtf its going to look like... Quote:
Wow, V10s with 500hp are really all the rage now-a-days aren't they...;) I think they should go with a twin turbo 2UZFE...but that's just me. :P That weight is, I think a bit...optimistic...haha  |
dude, this is a repost
i hope this car be a supra |
Oh crap...delete this then TT...
Sorry guys. |
Where is the original post then?

looks dont seem to inspire to me a car worth 100,000.00 unless its in some denominations... passetas (spain) anybody? regardless, im sure japan is dying for a new supercar in the absence of the Skyline, and the dwindling NSX |
According to the site carspyphotos, this is not the new Supra testing.

' I would not consider a Car Gallery post a valid discussion topic.. ;) |
I thought that the japanese dont make cars with over 300hp? So why is this one gonna have 500? Im gonna be pretty skeptic for now.
|
Actually that so called 'gentlemens agreement' has been pretty much disbanned this last year, as the new skyline will be rated somewhere above 350 hp, the HSC was planned at around 400 and a few others all seem to be ignorning that rule for now. :D
|
this wont be the next supra, wrong price range, and wrong segment
this will be some kinda nsx competitor or supercar |
how can there be a new skyline if the infiniti g35 is supposed to be it?

as long as supra looks like this, reminiscent of the 2000GT, i don't care. http://img24.exs.cx/img24/6758/2005_...ti_view.th.jpg And i don't think the above photo is that of the Supra. In fact, that doesn't look like a toyota at all...unless it's a false body... |
Wunderbar!

And Skyline GT-R wont be called the Skyline GT-R. It will be called GT-R
|
it's supposed to be 100k
|
the president of nissan in a press released stated the next gt-r would be here in 2007 (us) and that is would be competing performance wise with porsche 911 and that the pricing would be like that of an EVO8
so its only common logic that the next supra will be the same way the car in the first of this post is not the next supra, its a nsx (hsc) competitor toyota is a smart car company and they are playing it safe by keeping the next supra under wraps, i wouldnt be suprised if it is nothing like any of the currently circulating "spy" pics and artist conceptions |
Check this out.
http://www.caranddriver.com/article....&page_number=1 450 hp AWD sounds pretty nice to me  It also talks about it not using the 350z and G35 chassis's. That means its gunna be light. It says lotus is doing the suspension. That = I have read in a few other mags that what they say about Cosworth doing the engine is true as well. That also = . The two things Im not sure about is what engine will be used and the price. I had heard before that they will be using a destroked, high revving 3.2 liter version of the 350z power plant. But 350-380 was the claims, but 450 would be ok with me 8) As far as the price, I had heard $50,000 US would be appropriate (to put it in the same class as the S4, M3, Corvette, and such). we will be getting it in the states. I dont know why this article is so unsure about it. I have been told we will get it for a long time now... :? |
hi guys.. i was looking at getting as audi 14 but then i saw this supra parked next to it :( had to buy it. so i put my deposit down on 1. but as a new supra coming out .. DAME !
|
anyone will take the MKIV supra over the new one! if Toyota do sell it at $100,000 or higher i think they've to come up with something really really fast & reliable! it has to be competitive with the cars almost twice expensive to sell it at that price... i believe! cause most people will go.. yeah it goes fast & stuff... but its a toyota! :D i'm not one of them btw!
