Is this a prototype? No headlight covers and the mc12 has blue on the bottom

Ford Capri 2.8i 10-06-2004 07:40 AM

It looks like a prototype that perhaps will be launched some day...the cars width alongside the wings make the car look impressive.......

Chingachgook 10-06-2004 07:58 AM

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

Fantastic !

Unbelievable .... LOOOVE It

kjekki 10-06-2004 09:37 AM

It's enzo weels, i think

SilenCe 10-06-2004 09:58 AM

I think it isn't a prototype. Maserati built 12 of them, and this one could be one of them. :D

DUNKiNUTS 10-06-2004 10:04 AM

spy car, well test car spy shot. They sometimes don't get that smart in camo

As far as I know there are 25 of them. But I maybe be wrong.

Is the two colour scheme standard in the car ??

frua 10-06-2004 10:35 AM

Thanks for reposting it, marktak :D. I havent seen it before. The caris absolutely marvellous and your sighting is completely awesome. It's a enormous rarity; and if its pre-production(25 cars, ehm..) prototype, you had a astonishing luck. Thanks, thanks, thanks again! :D :D :D :D :D

numerouno 10-06-2004 10:50 AM

It will be used to race in FIA GT racing series and in order to meet FIA homologation rules, Maserati had to make 25 road going examples of this devil (Plus ~5 or something race versions makes a totla of ~30)

Awesome sighting m8 :)

sikx5 10-06-2004 10:54 AM

This car is truly awesome! Looks at least as good as the Enzo IMO :!: And you´re so lucky to see one on the street. I´ve never seen a compareable car on the streets in Germany

yg60m 10-06-2004 02:13 PM

Very nice !!!! I didn't think it was already released :D Thanks mate

bmagni 10-06-2004 02:24 PM

noliebro 10-06-2004 02:30 PM

schnell318 10-06-2004 02:48 PM

That´s more than super rare, more like a phenomenon.

Wow... that looks truly alien in everyday traffic. The difference between it and the Uno in front of it is unbelievable. I agree this sighting is even more special than an Enzo sighting.

It looks like a prototype though. From what I can tell by the scenery and numberplates of other cars the pics have been taken in Italy. The numberplate of the MC12 looks ratther dodgy and is in no way a regular Italian plate. Also note the X in it. Sounds like Xperimental to me. The other things like the wheels and colour scheme have already mentioned by others.

This doesn't mean an MC12 sighting is not yet possible, because we've all been able to see the 25 cars ready for delivery in the press pics. I guess they've been delivered by now.

nurbrun 10-06-2004 05:24 PM

Holy shit  I can just imagine seeing one of those on the street and how wiked they would be......mmmmmm...........wait a minute........no i cant :D

5vz-fe 10-06-2004 05:30 PM

redbaron 10-06-2004 05:53 PM
