Help choosing car color

Hey guys,
I want to know what is the best color for an integra which will only be used on a track..

I want the car color to stand out a little bit so I can get it noticed by sponcers, so help me out here..

I got some idea's

1- Same Orange color as the Evo

2-Baby blue with and Orange line down the middle like the Ford GT40 Gulf

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/Owais/Fordgt.jpg

And photoshop experts can you photoshop me something on this integra.. This is not my integra pix by the way.

To Photoshop a car, white is the worst base color, just to let you know ;)

BTW, IMO the best color for a trackcar is plain white LOL.. I feel it's a bit boring ;)

godspeed06 09-28-2004 10:58 AM

why is white the worst for photoshopping?

Evo 09-28-2004 10:59 AM

Yeah White is good for a track day car but it won't stand out.. And my car is Silver .. Any other suggestion TT.. Other than Black or White

Evo 09-28-2004 11:03 AM

I would really like someone to photoshop that gulf blue/orange on the integra. I also think it would look good but I got that tiny thing that says it won't work.

Well, first of all, on a white car in most cases many lines are like flattened, they disappear when it's white and then well, when you paint a white car in PS usually you end up with a red/blue/green whatever car on wich you miss those details that were missing because of the base color ;)

bmwmpower 09-28-2004 11:37 AM

black with black wheels

coombsie66 09-28-2004 12:42 PM

Well, to get you noticed obviously as bright a colour as possible is gunna do the trick, but if your looking for sponsorship then i'd stay clear of the gulf colour scheme, as it may clash with sponsors logo's and it leaves less panel space for big stickers. A white car would be best for making simple graphics stand out, and easy to paint if you stuff it, or to touch up slight stone chips or tyre donughts!
What series is it your racing in?
Also if you have any ideas of prospective sponsers, then you should probably go for a colour that suits their graphics/logos. :)

Evo 09-28-2004 02:42 PM

I don't have any sponsers right now, I'm hoping to get some when the car is ready. The only company I'm sure I'll put their logo on the car is my own brother company which is orange in color. That's why I kind of like of thinking of something that got Orange in it..

1 minute job:

This is how the Gulf theme would look vaguely ;)

Dammnn.. That really really sucks..  ..

Did not have that in mind at all.

crayzayjay 09-28-2004 03:13 PM

Slightly dark red with black wheels

jorge 09-28-2004 03:17 PM

I really like the orange in the Evo, altough it´s difficult to imagine how an Integra would look with this color

Evo 09-28-2004 03:22 PM

So Now
I get

2 votes white
1 vote red
1 vote Orange

:? :?: :?: :?: :?

Any other color suggestions guys.. Anybody just give it a try.

crayzayjay 09-28-2004 03:25 PM

Selective counting

I voted red, as did thamar. That's 2 votes for red ;)

mindgam3 09-28-2004 03:35 PM

orange i reckon ;) or maybe yellow but i dont reckon that'll suit it

Ian_yamaue 09-28-2004 04:10 PM

Bright Orange or Bright Red.

T-Bird 09-28-2004 04:26 PM

definitely the same orange as the EVO, you need a fleet of cars that color like your signature.

Ford Capri 2.8i 09-28-2004 05:02 PM

IMO, id leave the cars just in the same colours and conditions as in the first three pics.....the mitsu looks awesome, and the integra as well...perhaps the only car that id change the colour is the GT40s...id leave it in black or red one.......anyway the GT40 look great as well....

T-Bird 09-28-2004 05:11 PM

did you even read anything he wrote?
He wanted to know what color to paint the Integra and used the GT40 as an example of a possible paint job to honor a racing legend.

gis 09-28-2004 08:15 PM

as i told u id go with the same colour as your Evo.i love that colour and with your bro gettin his s2000 painted the same colour,it would look pretty sweet all of you havin that colour :D

Sachmo12345 09-28-2004 10:21 PM

i always like Bayside Blue (seen on the R34 Skyline) and the really dark purple on the R33 Skyline

Silvia_Drift 09-28-2004 10:32 PM

I say Type R white, with some dark rims.

mclaren_Gt 09-29-2004 12:51 AM

in the integra i prefer the orange of evo, but i think this car look much better in black or red

RC45 09-29-2004 01:46 AM

Fire up your trusty PS2 - boot up GT3 - load up an Integra and get creative with the colours... :P

DUNKiNUTS 09-29-2004 02:22 AM

Pick to high contrasting colors (i.e. neon green and hot pink) and fade them front to back, that would really make you stand out.

oldsnail 09-29-2004 03:20 AM

for integra, i actually like the stock champion white and phoniex yellow found on the ITR's.
as for custom color, i like the greyish silver pearly color found on new cars

Evo 09-29-2004 08:51 AM

What about British Racing Green :?:
Or spoon color's
Blue/Yellow :?:

mindgam3 09-29-2004 08:53 AM

not BRG, i think that will look wrong on a integra. Maybe blue/yellow tho ;)

Evo 09-29-2004 08:55 AM

Yeah the blue/yellow spoon style will be cool on the car.. espacilly if the car got brownz wheels :D

Evo 09-29-2004 09:34 AM

My attempt to photoshop this ..
I don't think it looks bad.. The color is not very good in photoshop.. but I think it will look good in reality.

The wheels are kind of brownz..lol.. that's the best I could do.

What do you think. :?:

stradale 09-29-2004 09:47 AM

The same orange as your Evo would be a good choice, as well as the yellow/blue combo.

You could also leave the car white for the most part and paint the wheels and lower part of the body in the orange your Evo is (a bit like the 911 GT3 RS, but without the text). That way, there's still the connection with the Evo and the S2000, as well as that it's easy to spot on track and the white part is excellent for sponsor's stickers.

That one is cool.

Evo 09-29-2004 10:35 AM

How many of you guys like the Blue/Yellow combo and how many don't.. :?:

gis 09-29-2004 11:49 AM

it looks ok,but seriously id go along with the orange of your evo.plus in my mind i can picture it lookin really good, especially if u get sponsers on there aswell

Silvia_Drift 09-29-2004 03:25 PM

Or, how bout a really shiny gloss back at the front that fades to flat black when it nears the rear of the car? I think I saw that paint job on a car tuned by Fabulous. Looks real good.

MercedeSChink 09-29-2004 03:48 PM

just plain yellow!!! like big bird

Evo 09-30-2004 05:05 PM

I think the car will either be Orange or Blue/Yellow spoon style..

Let wait and see.

Thanks guys for all your hepl. :D
