Sony officially announcedthe a slimmed down version of the PS2, the PSTwo. Arriving in the US in November 1st for $149 and in Europe on the same date.

With my nearly broken ps2, and in need of a network adapter for the upcoming GT4, the retail price of 149€ sounds promising :D

I'm buying it my PS2 is a pain in the ass lately having to crack it open and readjust the laser all the time.

that little trick stopped working for me! LOL I plan on blowing it up.

Or to maybe steal some of Halo 2's thunder since it comes out a week after the PStwo. :lol:

Somehow when i keep coming back to take a peak on this thread it makes me think that someone out there that sees this new ps2 would think of a way to hack into it(aka chip). heheh

did they just get rid of the hard drive? that what it looks like.

they never had a hard drive on the PS2, they had an expansion slot for the optional Network adaptor or Hard Drive (comes with Final Fantasy or Linux kit) but it never came with one.
