Eric's collection - (1/18 Blue Ferrari 250 California)

I'm starting my own thread for my 1/18 diecast models.

Eric 08-26-2004 05:36 PM

unfortunately, it's only Photoshopped. :)

TT 08-26-2004 06:05 PM

I'd say, "luckily" PS only :D a good PS job but the original car is already perfect, no need to mess up with it too much ;)

I just picked up my first Ferrari F1 car.

It's the F2003-GA Ferrari Lauch Car with driver Michael Schumacher. I found it at my local Auto Zone parts store for $29.95.

nice, now you will buy the Marlboro decals ?

Eric 09-16-2004 06:54 AM

I just picked up the new Corvette C6 in blue this past week. I think its the best color for the new Vette so far. :)

Eric 09-16-2004 06:56 AM

Here are a few pics of my new C6 paired with my blue Scaglietti. :)

gis 09-16-2004 07:02 AM

WOW that C6 is amazing.i didnt no the model was out yet,who made it BTW?

i saw the 50th anniversary vette yesterday in my model shop £47 it was,so quite expensive compared to other 1:18 by auto art

Eric 09-16-2004 04:50 PM

It's made by Hotwheels.

ZfrkS62 09-16-2004 10:28 PM

i am assuming since you only paid 29.95 for the F2003 it is the 1:24 scale that came with the dvd? i ask because the auto zone i got my FW25 from wanted 39.95 for the 1:18, which i think is horseshit since the williams, mclaren and renault were 29.95 for the 1:18's.
now i gotta spend an extra 10 bucks to start the grid set-up :?

tigerx 09-16-2004 10:47 PM

may we see the engine of the C6 ;) LOL. since it's from hotwheels, i'm assuming the engine isn't that great.

It's the 1/18 scale version. It was marked at $39.00 but it rang up at the register for $29.00. :)

Eric 09-17-2004 05:51 AM

The engine detail isn't great.

i wonder if i can get them to do the same for me....

Eric 09-17-2004 03:54 PM

Have them do a price check, they may be trying to get rid of them.

Eric 09-17-2004 03:57 PM

sameerrao 09-19-2004 02:03 AM

Wow! the 997 is already out ... Can you post and head and tail shot for the two cars .. one is a Carrera S and the other a Carrera right?

TT 09-19-2004 05:10 AM

Can you also let us know who does the 997? Does seem Autoart quality but I could be wrong...

Eric 09-19-2004 08:13 AM

Although the quality is pretty good, it's no Autoart. All 3 models shown are made by Maisto.

Here are a few more pics of the 997's.

This one is the base model 997 Carrera.

gis 09-20-2004 05:54 PM

TT 09-20-2004 06:05 PM

Nice PS job! I fear the wing is fixed on the model :( It would have been nice to raise it for the pic ;)

Chaos in 1983! 09-20-2004 06:14 PM

Eric can you lift the spoiler on the Carrera GT???

gis 09-20-2004 06:43 PM

u cant on the one i have and mine is a maisto also, such a shame as it would look awesome if u could move the rear spoiler

Eric 09-20-2004 06:50 PM

The spoiler does lift on the Concept version of the CGT, but not on the production version. :(

Which really is too bad because it looks really good with it up. :)

SilviaEvo 09-20-2004 08:18 PM

Man you are lucky! i want the 997. i saw a Maserati and a Gallardo at Costco but i forgot my money :(

Here's another attempt on making the model look like its real world counterpart.

It can be tough getting the same angles.

Eric 09-22-2004 05:50 AM

The scenery is real, the photos are taken outside. Its only the road base that I made.:)

Eric 09-22-2004 09:00 AM

SilviaEvo 09-24-2004 02:06 AM

wow i love the wheels! btw how much did that cost?

Eric 09-24-2004 06:55 AM

Originally this model sold for $169, but I won this one on eBay for $75. :)

sameerrao 09-24-2004 08:54 AM

Great deal - I saw a Exoto Jagermeister 935 for sale at a dealer in Philadelphia for $150. The wheels and roll cage makes it look very real...

Eric 09-25-2004 01:01 PM

I took some more new pics this morning. :)
