Aug 21 - Ferrari 360 Modena, 8 pics and a couple more cars

Well, yesterday a superb 360CS.. I was already in heaven and a great addition to my cars pics collection :D. Just in case you missed it: http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...=231521#231521
but today wasn't too shabby!

A friend of mine was held in an hospital some 60 km from here, with a little problem with a knee.. today he could come back home and obviously needed somebody to pick him up.. and here I am :) with my camera of course!
And it was a wise moove since, right before entering the highway while coming back, we spotted this nice red 360.. of course I suddently entered chase mode and followed it untill it parked outside a big shopping mall. And look, the guy parked it in the perfect spot LOL. not in the parking lot but besite it.. so the pics turned out quite well!! Thanks to him LOL!

Enjoy!

Not many cars, but some nice shots I think! I hope you will like!

ALL THE PICS ARE CLICKABLE FOR 1600X1200 AND YOU ARE FREE TO POST THEM ELSEWHERE. You will need to re-host them though since JW doesn't allow remote linking

I really consider this small photosession the most lucky I had so far! Not too difficult to find good cars around here, but never found one parked like that, just begging to be taken in picture and be posted on JW :D

BTW, as always I notice stuff only when the pics are posted :D in the third Modena shot you can see my car parked beside an Alfa 166 :D further proof that I'm not stealing somebody else's pics :D

Thanks a million TT once more due to your contribution, although you are getting me more and more jealous(in a good way, lol), once surprises me the huge list of great cars that pass around your town and outskirts everyday

dingo 08-22-2004 04:22 AM

For a while I wondered if he was the owner of that building near the shopping mall.. hell there was a BIG parking lot, the shop were closing in 30 minutes and it was half empty but he still preferred to park there :D too kind and if he is reading this topic I want to say thanks again :D

mindgam3 08-22-2004 07:00 AM

I like the first picture best. It really has wallpaper quality. :D Good job, TT!!

1zippo1 08-23-2004 11:29 AM

Great pics of about the best looking car there is IMO.

It's not so far off anymore from being replaced by it's succesor, but it's still as good looking as it was the day they released this baby. Normally a good looking car will loose a bit of it's visual charm by the end of it's production because there will be more recent cars that appeal to us more, partly because they're more modern, partly because new is just better... For instance, I've allways thought the 996 turbo was gorgeous, but recently it has lost a bit of it's charm. Put a DB9 next to it and there's no doubt wich one is the nicest. But with the 360 I don't ever have the feeling like it's less up to date then any other car released just a month ago. It is IMO a car styled without faults. In about every car I know, even the best looking one's I can point out at least one thing that makes me raise my eyebrow, with the 360 I can only stare at the beauty. Amazing...

Thx for the nice pics!!

TT 08-23-2004 11:38 AM

Yes it's true that the 360 look is still up to date today. And will probably still be gorgeous in many years, but afterall the same goes for the 355 wich is IMO even better looking than the 360 :D

Agreed! Yesterday I drove by Kroymans and saw various F355s on display through the windows and also a 360 Modena spider and I said exactly the same thing: the F355 is even prettier. BTW, Kroymans has an F40, F50 and Enzo next to one another on display in the basement, as I could see through a window. Too bad they were closed...

1zippo1 08-23-2004 12:29 PM

I love the looks of the 355 but IMO it can't touch the 360 visually.

It seems like Ferrari has managed to draw the attetion of people with these 2 in a special way. I mean about any critique who allways has something to remark loves at least one of the two! For instance Jeremy, he thinks the 360 looks like dogfood, but adores the 355...

TT 08-23-2004 12:29 PM

You have to sneak in! :D

mindgam3 08-23-2004 01:44 PM

I think the 360 is better looking than the 355, its just more slightly better propotioned. Not saying the 355 is ugly, it too is beautiful and if the interior was redone you would've thought it only came out a few years ago

Well as long as you will come out with a couple of pics only, they should understand :D

If I would even consider breaking in at an undoubtedly very well secured location like Kroymans, I wouldn't be planning on leaving with only a couple of lousy pics...

Jabba 08-24-2004 01:25 PM

Marvelous backdrop...to bring the best out of the 360....
