nice sightings man.
|
what was going on today in Toronto that there are so many exotics?
|
Even if it´s not very modern or the most exotic Ferrari, the 348 is one of my favourites, that black spider looks amazing! :o
|
It must suck to drop $150K+ on a 360 and see so many others around... ;)
|
/\/\/\ Isnt it the same story with the Vette? Oh I'm sorry its only 50grand
|

power to weight, top speed, chick magnet, better racing history, and the 360cs is faster then the vette in a straight line and Slalom and is $140,000 more then the vette, who said italians didn't know a thing or two about selling cars that people would buy :P  |
Holy shit...nice pics. I would love to be able to see that many nice cars, you saw more Ferrari's in one day then I do in a year. How long were you actually out looking for the cars?
|
Absolutely impressive! Monaco and Toronto sure puts Lausanne to shame :P
Dude, are high-res versions available? |
Quote:
wrong - wrong essentially same weight wrong - hence same power to weight wrong - similar top speed if you need a ferrari to get a chick you're fucked anyway racing history is debatable - the Challenge cars compete in a single make series - the GT's and GTC's compete against others - these are pure race only cars.. derived from the street car - not vice versa wrong - the CS is the same specs as the Vette point for point as proven in head to head tests Italians are known to sucker posers, yuppies and new money into blowing their wad on trendy status symbols.. ;) :) Face it - the 360 is nothing more thn a status symbol for the starbucks generation :) |
Nice pictures!
That's a shitload of Ferraris...! |
Quote:
Top Speed: 189 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft Curb Weight: 3065 lbs Horsepower: 395 bhp @ 8500 rpm 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Top Speed: 171 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 123 ft Curb Weight: 3130 lbs Horsepower: 385 bhp @ 6000 rpm more hp less, weight means better power to weight, so i don't know how that could be wrong? 13 feet in braking is alot (an enzo does it in 109 ft, so your going to tell em that a vette is as good as braking as an enzo?) and by better racing history i ment the company, the brand, the reason for ferrari road cars, to support its racing.... and i would love to see you head to head test of the 360cs vs zo6, please post them. |
Nice picture in the beginning! that Diablo VT, very nice, thnq man

Well - let's see... Road & Track and AWW were the ONLY clowns that failed the braking test - the drivers failed - not the car. Every other magazine (and owners) struggled to repeat that pathetic distances they got. This is the more accepted and in fact true results of braking tests. Prepare to be owned.. because the Z06 is one of the BEST stoping cars - ever produced.. :) Braking (ft.) CD August 2000 152ft (70 - 0 mph) MT August 2000 106ft (60 - 0 mph) MT November 2000 111ft (60 - 0 mph) RT August 2000 123ft (60 - 0 mph) 212ft (80 - 0 mph) RT January 2001 123ft (60 - 0 mph) AWW December 2000 147ft (60 - 0 mph) AW January 2001 105ft (60 - 0 mph) 188ft (80 - 0 mph) CD February 2001 152ft (70 - 0 mph) MT April 2001 103ft (60 - 0 mph) RT June 2001 123ft (60 - 0 mph) 212ft (80 - 0 mph) MT August 2001 105 (60 - 0 mph) 303 (100 - 0 mph) Having weighed my car ( and other owners - the curb weight is 3050lbs :)) - and it would seem the curb weight everyone throws around for the 360 is the CLAIMED weight from Ferrari - which is a dry weight... :) and in fact the car weighs in at 3100 odd lbs ;) - which would give the 2001 Z06 the win on power to weight .. :P Nice try though - all I can say is - been there done that. Bring it on :D |

Now a 355 is a different story - that is a car I like... ;) |
There is hi res available just tell me wich ones :D and there was no event happening it was just a sunny saturday afternoon.........we spent about 4 hrs there........it is really fun walking around going into stores and just doing nothing but seeing these awsome car
|
Holy shit!! That black 348 has to be one of the most badass cars I've ever seen.

damn nurbrun, i've never seen so many exotics on one day in downtown. Where exactly did you take the pics? Were they around Yonge and Bloor or Bay and Bloor? I'm assuming it was Yorkville.

i still love the 360, but it just doesnt seem to belong in the same catagory as the moniker 'ferrari' on the other hand... if those brutal italians can find a way to make more money then ever before, why not? thats good capitolism :) (and a good way to loose resale value ;) ) |
jeez the best i've seen in mississauga are 355 and 996 turbo, but no pic so i'll STFU now ;).

and the power to waight thing is the claimed weights by the factories, so if your z06 weighs less, mayb the ferrari does too, and even if it weighs more the z06 is 10bhp down on the 360, so it doesn't really make it have a better power to weight. i am still waiting on the 360cs vs. z06 were the z06 wins artical. |
here we go off topic because you just refuse to face the facts that the Ferrari 360 is "not all that" - and in fact si an over-rated over-priced yuppie-fad car.
If the F355 had 10/10 for soul and presence and ability - the 360 barely scores a 2. Quote:
It is rather strange, that not only does R&T get distances 15% off other magazines - they also somehow get the THE SAME DISTANCE for 3 separate tests... while no one else seems to be able to be that consistent or that poor drivers.. And who are these AWW clown - 147ft? That shows either poor driver or poorly prepared maintained car - but more than likely a mis-print and they actually did a 70-0 test. I have easily produced a 115ft stoping distance as measured by a windshield mounted Tazzo device. Not a bad distance for an impromptu test on the street. If you really want to be pedantic and average the numbers - then lets drop the best and worst and average the rest... that still produces a 113ft average vs the 116ft average that includes numbers that appear obviously too high. Quote:
Ferrari however do otherwise. They claim the 360 weighs in at 2980 odd lbs.. but all you have to do is search around the web to owner forums where they have weighed their cars and are shocked and horrified to learn their cars weigh closer to 3100 lbs with fuel.. :) That is the reality - don't shoot the messenger - go look for yourself - talk to 360 owners that have had their cars weighed at road race tracks etc. On the other hand, I and many other Z06 owners have had our cars weighed - only to learn the curb weight with fuel is actually closer to 3060lbs.. so again a wash. 2001 hz06 @ 7.9lb/hp vs 360 @ 7.84lb/hp. The story is repeated with the 360CS vs 2002 @ newer Z06's Quote:
Without your pedigree claims, racing heritage claims, limited edition claims, more expensive claims, more exclusive claims... the comparisons show the 360 to be an overpriced average performing car that without the afore mentioned "snob appeal" is really just a run of the mill sporty car in this day and age. :D Reality sucks. Oh and this topic only highlights that while the car has "Starbucks" appeal on the road - it is just too common these days.. :P If I hadn't yet said so - nice pictures.. |
The corvette sucks its slow it doesnt corner it doesnt have good cup holders and its too cheap and ass common dirty socks in the dry cleaners.
:D |
first off a Z06 isn't that common man I see just as many 360's as Z06's they are fast and they corner and who the fuck takes socks to a dry cleaner you lazy ass.
 :D |
I do
|
^^^ agree, the coupe and convertible is common but not the Z06 ^^^, and no the Z06 ain't too shabby around corner, and no it is not slow at all when you put the price tag on it.
|
well i guess your looking in the wrong place i see at least 3-4 z06 a day
|
well maybe I just see too many 360's a day, I don't take pictures when I'm driving down the Highway though so... I do see Corvettes but Z06's not THAT common.
|
Quote:
:) |
I mean I could go to one of if not the largestChevy dealer in the Midwest/Country and see quite a few Z06's but that doesn't really count because I could go to the Ferrari dealer and see the same thing.
|

and i don't think they are the same car, they come in many colours, and RC45, i don't think i would bother trying to tell you how much better i think the 360 is over the z06 it is just the car i would pick, the one tiff would pick (3rd in his top cars of all time), the one schumi would pick but they don't know anything about drivers cars they were just all tricked  |
Quote:
|
not at all?
i said it was the one I would pick, and listed other drivers would of picked it aswell not at all? they were tricked, well acording to you Tiff is nothing but a Yuppie who drives the car that is an "overpriced average performing car that without the afore mentioned "snob appeal" is really just a run of the mill sporty car in this day and age" they were tricked weren't they, they thought it was a sports car, not a sporty car |
Quote:
I am saying them selecting the car does not make it any better than it is. :) In the performance bracket that it is in - it is no quicker/tighter/better/faster than a bunch of other cars. All it has going for it, is the "heritage" thing.. :P To me the 360 is a non-Ferrari. The 360 and even the new 430 are not worthy successors to the 355 in my humble opinion. They are invisible to me. Like banished clan members - I do not acknowledge their existance. But then again, I am the type of Tifosi that views the F50 as a pretender to the mighty F40's throne as well. :) You could liken my disdain for the 360 to Jabbas of the Macca F1... ;) |
Its impressive how many gr8 cars uyou have in toronto , thx for the pics , i have to agree with everybody that the 355 is sexier than the 360 , but i would prolly pick the 360 ...

360 has more race and sport in it than any vette on the road, in the past 50 years the vette was never a racer at heart (look at what they first made it for), the mid-engine (v6/v8) ferrari line holds the same blood line from the start till the end, high reving, amazing sounding, racer at heart, the 360 was built for to show ferrari's racing heritage, i am sorry that the modern urban male with younge money (somthing that was first really scene in the mid to late 90's past the 355 era), buys the 360 as his first car, i am sorry that their are people that drive modern ferrari's that don't even know the founders name, or his son's name, but that is what americans have done to the car, they have killed the image of the car, not ferrari, and i am sure if ferrari could only allow certine people to buy all their cars this heritage would still be there in your eyes, but they can't do it to everyone of there cars only the ones that show its heritage the most (f50, enzo) mayb it is not the car you hate but the people who drive them. the 360 is just as much a ferrari at heart as the 355 i would like to know why you think the 360 is not a worth successor to the 355, what has changed in the recipe to the car? i still see the same basic car when i look at them, |
Are you seriously saying that the Corvette has no Racing Heritage?
|
what was it built for? look in the history books, compair that to what a ferrari road car was built for
i am not saying it doesn't have any, it just doesn't have as much as a ferrari does in the 50 years it has been around |
yo nice sightings man u moron im movin to toronto . yet still to spot a yellow 360 spyder. speaking of top speed the ZO6 does like 170 and the 360 does 180 same 0-60 times about. but how often do u go 180 and the 360 makes its hp at like 6000 rpms wat good is that.
my dads and my corvette would woop a 360 any day exept in top speed and its from 69. i will admit we have a modified 383 stroked but still it costs alot less than a 360 |
