The Stratos of course , it looks like a supercar , which the others dont

HeilSvenska 08-10-2004 11:01 AM

Lancia Stratos is the sexiest visually,
Audi Quattro is sexy because it was so competant
and Renault Alpines (which were not renaults at all) were pretty

nthfinity 08-15-2004 10:40 PM

honestly, i have thought the current Subaru impreza WRC is the best looking... but besides that, the lancia delta integrale, and the Audi Quattro are my personal favorites... i might have liked the RS200 more if it had some real heritage behind it...

Simply the best porsche car ever in the best rally ever...a great combination

Ford Capri 2.8i 08-23-2004 08:59 AM

Thanks a million for the pics....it was a bit of shame that porsche didnt decide to launch this car on the world rallying championship in 1986(against a large number of serious rivals, such as Peugeot, Lancia, Audi, Ford), im sure that the car would have been capable of finishing regularly the rallyes on the podium, and it would have been a serious contender of the Acropolis rally, and favourite for me to win the safari Rallye. At least we had the chance to see the car on the Paris Dakar

I think it was more of a my-4-wheel-drive-system-is-better-than-yours kind of car, since they were really testing the 4x4 for future use (did I hear carrera4 and cayenne???^)

Kal-EL905 08-29-2004 07:20 PM

I'm not a huge rally fan, but I love the Colin Mcrea Focus.

mustang 09-08-2004 02:32 PM

Rallying is my favourite motorspor and next year i am starting it myself in a peugeot 205 :)

personally i think that ever rally car made looks amazing but i am a bit Ford WRC fan and dont like the idea that they might not be in it next year :(

It was difficult to make a decision of which are the sexiest. I just like the styling of rallycars in general. But this is my top 5 of sexiest rallycars:

1. Peugeot 205 T16 EVO1
2. Ford Escort RS Cosworth
3. Subaru Impreza WRC 2000
4. Ford Focus WRC03
5. Audi Quattro

1. Lancia Stratos - An easy one this, always loved it especially in Alitalia colours.
http://www.rallyclubattiliobettega.i...ratos%2018.jpg

2. Alpine A110 - A close second for the small french car partially down the the noise of the Lancia's glorious Ferrari V6.
http://www4.ocn.ne.jp/~a110/gallery/img/1600vd.jpg

3. Lancia 037 - Last of the beautiful rally cars, they got way too masculine to be sexy after this!

Umm....I think the Evoluzione was part of the Group B sportsracers, not the Groupe B rally cars. There were several different classifications of sports racers including Group B and Group C prototype racers.

homemade wrx 10-19-2004 08:26 PM

99 Subaru Impreza WRC
Porsche 959
Lancia 037 and Integrale
Focus WRC is nice too

Not true it was never especially designed for the Group B's

sure ferrari were thinking about it but they never made any special plans to get it in group B even though they could of

the mein reason for the 288 was a stepping stone to the F40 :)

anyway back on subject it has to be the focus WRC from recent years

OVERLORD_CHRIS 11-09-2004 04:38 AM

Lancia Stratos, had the best lines for a rally car and then these showed up wich are pretty sleek looking if you can use that word.
Focus WRC
Impreza STi
and the 206 wich is like a slightly faster Focus

But ugly would be that new 307! what the hell were they thinking?

I agree with the Focus WRC, but the impreza? It doesnt really look very sleek IMHO. Lancia is definitely in a class of its own.

jamberl 11-09-2004 04:44 AM

hey if we're talking ugly rally cars too, I nominate the audi S1
