Great photos TT

Darkel 07-26-2004 02:20 PM

Another great day, TT
That grey 3200GT is beautiful :D ... but the rear of the F40 looks strange, where the hell is the ferrari horse ?

No.1 07-26-2004 02:32 PM

Nice photos there TT 8)

May i ask.... did the salespeople not mind you taking so many photos :?: A lot of the prestige garages i have been to have been rather uptight on taking photos

racer_f50 07-26-2004 02:42 PM

were they holding the license plate to the back of theh 575M with electical tape? looks a bit ghetto-rigged onto the car

great pics though, TT, thanks for sharing them with us 8)

BADMIHAI 07-26-2004 02:55 PM

Wow! Did they leave you alone in the dealership again?

TT 07-26-2004 03:23 PM

Thanks SDK :D for your thumb up ;)

Well apparently instead of the horse there is the plate emplacement :?

Well maybe the fact I know one of their mechanics helps, but they really don't mind I think.. even the first time, before I actually said I was a friend of his, they said it was ok :D
Today when I took out the tripod one of the had a bit of a "WTF face" :D but no prob at all luckily

HHA indeed, just a temp plate used to move the car from A to B :D

LOL nope, there were also a couple of customers today :D or else I would have jumped into the F40, ala Dukes of Hazard, but head first :D

ohh and nice pics, as always

sameerrao 07-26-2004 04:12 PM

The F40 looks like it has a custom exhaust - I didnt know it had 3 pipes. The 612 looks best in dark colours - I saw in blue at the Houston Car show - it was pretty good in the flesh.

Stikz 07-26-2004 04:57 PM

think i just wet my pants (again). You guys are real lucky to be able to see all these sweet cars up close. Here in toronto you see the occasional exotic, but only on weekends and only downtown. Unless you want to roam around Upper Canada College for a day or so.

The F40 does have three exhausts. Indeed, the one in this pic seems to have a modified exhaust, since in the stock one the middle pipe is not round.

Chingachgook 07-26-2004 05:16 PM

GRAZIE!
Thanks a lot TT, I LOOVE the F40..so brutal so pure so racecar...what a difference between it and the Scaglietti. Ok totally different cars but the styling is much more delicate...
Of course I love the 575 but the 360...yes great car, beautiful....but the CS i much more beautiful...after the CS I don't like the 360 like before

TT - you know how weird the Swiss transportation laws are - they have had very bizarre rules over the years - for the longest time (maybe it is still so) 2 headlights on a motorcycle was not legal, so all the Swiss certified bikes from the mid 80's and early 90's had to be redesigned with a single headlight - and the very bizarre extra long rear mudguard on motorcycles - and the very strict license plate height and location rules etc.

Switzerland seems to be the most strict for odd rules like that, even more strange than some of the dumb stuff they passed as laws with regard to cars in the USA in the 80's. ;)

Great pics TT.......I only wish our Ferrari dealer had so many different models.

aks 07-27-2004 03:42 AM

great pics TT, the 612 Scaglietti looks really awesome in black!

u've inspired me to go to the lambo showroom down the road and take some pics, everytime i drive past i slow down so i can turn and have a look at the beautiful gallardo sitting there.

thanks for the pics

stradale 07-27-2004 08:08 AM

Very nice pictures, there. I loved watching them. You thought the F355 was sexier than the 360 "Even in grey"?! It is one of my favourite colours for the F355. Silver of course, not titanium or any other darker grey. On a silver F355 the rear lights stick out so beautifully!

The 612 Scaglietti is good in the flesh, isn't it? It took me by surprise the first time I saw it. I can only imagine it looks even less big in black.

As standard, the F40 has three exhausts. And, yes, the F40 photographed by TT has a modified exhaust, but not because the middle one is round. The middle one is supposed to be round with the stock exhaust. It's just that the left and right pipe are wide and flat with the stock one. I took a picture of an F40 a while ago and this is what an F40 exhaust is supposed to look like.

Yes I agree. The first Scaglietti I saw were that silverish/grey tone and it already suprised me, but in black it is for sure a nice car!

nthfinity 07-28-2004 09:42 PM

Local state-side Ferrari dealerships may be a little skittish about visitors after that twit blew his brains out in the 360 the other day...

So be prepared for the thrid degree. :)

dingo 07-29-2004 03:07 AM

I don't think they would mind you taking pics. When I went in the other day I just asked the salesman if he wouldn't mind me taking a few pics and he was all for it, saying that he enjoys seeing people with a passion for Ferrari's. :)

As I said a couple of times, I know one of their mechanics and he said it's not a problem. Beside that, it was the second time :D ah, and it's just a 3 or 4 km drive, so even if they would have said not... not a big deal :D but they are quite friendly :D I just hope to find similar people today at the Lambo one ;) (and Pagani :P)
