July 18th: 65 min at the roundabout: 308, 328, 355, Countach

Ok I spent exactly 65 minutes placed on that roundabout!

Sadly the day was crap :( not much light and no sun=no supercars most of the time...
No light means higher ISO (to keep the shutter fast enough) -> crappy quality :(

Still some interesting sights :D

Last pic on the roundabout, a Police car blasted through it risking to hit the Corsa :D

This one was crazy! I saw this F355 while coming back home, did my usual U-turn and floored my poor car to reach it in time.. it was the first car at a red light as you can see:

The light turned green, the 355 driver really GUNNED the first 3 gears.. as you can see the limit there is 70 km/h and he was doing way more than that at the end of 3 gear :D
As for the biker, 1 second after this pic he pulled a WHEELIE!! And of course he had no problem in keeping up.. crazy shit!

Isn't that an Opel Corsa ?

yg60m 07-18-2004 03:25 PM

You're lucky to see these cars in only 65 minutes !! I could stand all the day in my city on any roundabout without to see a single Ferrari :(

Darkel 07-18-2004 04:03 PM

Vansquish 07-18-2004 04:46 PM

Looks like an Austin Healey to me.

1zippo1 07-18-2004 04:57 PM

Amazing sight, a countach, damn wich I saw one of those on my vacation in Italy. Saw some other nice one's and got a couple of pics. Not that much since the batteries went dead after half an hour   Missed a GT3RS because the goddamnfucking batteries just went dead, you can believe my frustration... It flew by me on the German autobahn, and stopped at the same gas station, so I had plenty of time to see it from closeby.

Darkel 07-18-2004 05:34 PM

Argh, unlucky you :|

SilviaEvo 07-18-2004 10:15 PM

a007apl 07-19-2004 08:33 AM

Tkx for Countach pic :D

LotusGT1 07-19-2004 09:05 AM

The old timer is a Audtin Healey indeed, a 100/6 or a 3000...

TT 07-19-2004 09:16 AM

Thanks :) I was guessing so.. but basically I guess "Austin Healey" for every small old timer I see :D

oscargarza88 07-19-2004 11:50 AM

wow a countach! a great siteW and 22x zoom! :o
but why do the pics look a llittle "dotted", ive see other of your pics and they dont look like that....
the ferrari 355! its definety my reachable dream car!
thanks !!

TT 07-19-2004 12:10 PM

As I wrote, the grain is due to the high ISO setting (200).. I was forced to use such high ISO because there was no sun, and with the usual ISO 50 the shutter was working at like 160 milliseconds, to slow -> blurry pics... and since light was changing, even ISO 100 wasn't enough... so just to be sure I went for the 200 (god I guess how they would turn out with ISO 400...)... but next time it isn't sunny I won't bother :D

stradale 07-19-2004 12:45 PM

Wonderful sightings, TT! The Countach may well have been at quite some distance, but I hope you got to hear that amazing sound nonetheless. An F355 being gunned through the first three gears also delivers some great sounds...

I never get tired of 308s and 328s as well. :D

TT 07-19-2004 01:04 PM

Sadly no.. it was far away and there was traffic near me.. and since he had a pretty normal start, no sound reached me :(

davide 07-19-2004 01:38 PM

I'm going out hunting cars on wednesday I think, If the weather is good. Take a little trip with the bike in town. :D

See if I can match any of these sightings of TT, Ferrari ain't that common in Stockholm.

The Transporter 07-19-2004 03:50 PM
