Very cool. Still...the Stig lapped the GT3 faster than the CSL.

Its all up to tires I think. the CSL uses as close to slicks as legal.

Sincere thanks :)

mindgam3 08-23-2004 06:01 PM

yeah i think many people doubted whether the CSL was worth the money and the TG time probably doesen't do it justice, but i just love it ;) I'd probably take the CSL too, but of the upper class track biased machines id have to go for the 360 CS ;)

styla21 08-23-2004 07:01 PM

that was awesome, thankyou.

I am a big Ferrari fan, and to be honest, I will never be able to drive to the very limit of the car anywayws, that's y my choice will always be the Ferrari

crayzayjay 08-23-2004 07:59 PM

The GT3 is a car that needs to be wrestled to get the best out of it. A colleague of mine has one (traded in an E46 M3 for it) and says its much tougher to drive fast and much less forgiving than the Bimmer. I'd take it ahead of the CSL every day of the week, and twice on Sunday ;)

DeMoN 08-23-2004 08:04 PM

Wish i were on my laptop. It broke and all my bag scans were deleted I guess? It had some hard drive problem and I think the solution to that is a replacement. Hope I'm wrong. Fortunatelly, almost all my car vids were on another hard drive. You never think your hard drive will be the next to fail, but I warn you all MAKE BACKUPS!

I hear that. Ive read you're not supposed to use them in the wet or when its cold. I remember reading one review that asked why they bothered making it lighter and more powerful, as pretty much all the advantage was down to the tires. The fact that the GT3 could still beat it under brakes despite this advantage is pretty amazing in my opinion.

I would like to see the BMW on normal tires.

But even then, it seems like a performance bargain, given the price. Same $$ as a base 911, isnt it?

dutchmasterflex 08-23-2004 08:21 PM

arg.. i get so upset whenever i read about the CSL... why wont they just bring the damn CSL to the states!@!!!#$

chipanggo 08-25-2004 10:50 PM
