Never been a big corvette fan. That one looked half decent though. But then again I never liked the look of the Mac F1...

I think the car looks nice but 3,13 sec with a 435hp car... don't think so. Don't really thrust the times from those guys from Motortrend.

They also claimed that the Murciélago could do a 3,1 sec 0-60 time = impossible. The constructor said 3.85 for 0-62mph so how can they do it 0,6 sec faster = bullshit. Anyway, bought a magazine today and they tested the Murciélago too and did a 5.3 sec time for the 0-62mph. The reviewer said it certainly is possible to do a faster time BUT if the clutch of the lambo easily burns in such an attempt .

sportVeloce: you don't like the look of the Mac F1... along to me that's one of the nicest looking cars ever and that for a car that's more then 10 years old. The only thing I dislike about its look are the rimms, nothing special. Should fit some nice Ferrari Style rimms to it.

im not sure how fast the Mosler is but at 1900 lbs and 435hp thats a little over 4 lbs per horsepower, thats extremely light, so either way it should be fast.

i have never paid much attention to 0-60 times simply because there are so many factors that can change it. temperature outside, humidity, elevation, road condition, size of driver to name a few. its a good way to place certain cars in different catagories, but the times are gonna change slightly with each and every car and driver.

case in point, this months Sport Compact Car posted a 5.3 0-60 in a WRX (not STi, WRX) and they got a EVO to go 0-60 in 5.4 during the same test at the same location, etc. 0-60 times arent too reliable IMO

thats a great looking car....but whats up with the gills/fins in the front....it kinda spoils it a little.

haha.the mosler photon is the drag queen of sports cars......always good for a laugh though.

I don't like corvettes, only the really old ones, but guess what? it's been a while since they last made them...
So in conclusion I don't like anything based on it, I particulary dislike the engine, I need at least a 7500 rpm redline for me...

1zippo1: something about the Mac doesnt turn me on. I like the styling of the Lambos. I am 100% lambo through and through. The mac was just slightly boring for me. I know it is an awesome feat of engineering; such as the times it produced, 8kg of real gold, sophisticated computer with modem plug. -> There is no doubt it is a super awesome car that was designed to go fast at the cost of looks. An educated guess is that it was born and bread in the wind tunnel, without too much concern for looks. I understand the goal was to get it to go hard, NO Real Real hard. I just never liked the styling.

Personally I would rather own a Muria and a Countach 25th and a Diablo and a Murcielago for the 1Mill tag (i think, cant fully remember) of the Mac.

I'm afraid you won't get all of that for 1 Mill :cry: Nor will you get the McLaren for that price anymore. Has anybody got any idea what it's resale value is? Out of my reach that's for sure...

your right you wouldnt get all those cars for 1 million you would get them for alot less....

How could anyone get rid of his Diablo for that amount? It's the coolest supercar from Italy and they're never going to build it anymore. Nothing comes close to it, not even new Lambos!

IMHO is a good car, for 100k euro you take home a real road-racer, I like it, also if I'll NEVER buy it.

Being new here I don't want to seem a quarrelsome person :wink:

The only links that the Mosler have with the Vette are a highly tuned version of the LS1 (or LS6) V8...depends on trim level, the taillights, and a few other small bits and pieces. Other than that it is a truly bespoke vehicle, NOT A CORVETTE...it's a mid-rear engined car...the Vette is front engined...not even front mid...true Front...and the 0-60 times that were posted wherever you saw them are correct. In high-output trim with all the goodies, the Mosler will dip under the 0-60 time that the Mclaren F1 posted in 1994 in the hands of Autocar. It's a really freakishly fast car. Much more of a racer even than the Saleen S7, and certainly well more than a match for most any sports car you could throw at it for that price. IT produces true downforce at relatively low speeds, and handles like it's on a slotcar track. The Mosler Photon or MT900R or S...whatever you get...they're all extremely fast, relatively frugal, and easy to maintain mechanically. The looks...well the jury's still out on them, but the fact that it's fast as fuck is unchanged.

what is up with every1 hating sheesh, its not the corvette only shares some minor details, that is the Mosler MT900 Photon, it weighs in under 2000lbs has a hewland straight cut racing sequential transmission, slaloms at 74MPH and it does accelerate that fast, it is a race car that has been made barely street legal.

I am an angry Corvette lover... what about it? ;)
