What's the point... everybody knows that Vipers don't corner very well compared with their European counterparts...
I've seen once a slalom with a Viper GTS, a Ferrari 355 and a Porsche 911 turbo.. and it's amazingly comic.. The Ferrari doesn't even move... The Porsche body rolls a bit, but keeps the trajectory line... The Viper seems a bathtub with wheels... and oversteering like a mad!! :) And, DanielW... you say that American cars don't corner because they don't need to.. and because Americans like them that way... It's your problem!! I'm just saying that I (and most people) prefer European cars because they corner much better!! Oh.. and we don't need massive 8 liter engine like the Viper GTS to extract 400 hp or more! And don't need massive fuel consuption to have fast cars! I think it's an insult to the rest of the world the amount of fuel your cars consume... Do you know that the USA consume the same amount of fuel in a month that Europe, Japan, China, Russia and North of Africa countries.. all together? |

i think the problem herein lies in entrence speed, and following through with exit velocity. a fast car will have to brake hard, and not over-do it on the exit; which requires much more precision then a car that doesnt have to brake as hard, or cant accellerate as hard.
that is why a viper/Z06/360/GT3/WS-6/Mustang would be harder on any twisting road then a Nissan 240 sx... |
