I went to the mazda dealrship yesterday to get my car fixed and they had it, god, the driving position is perfect, and the shifter is so nice!
So, I started talking to the sales man, how my father has an Alfa Romeo and blah blah blah, and suposedly lives in miami (heheh, little white lie here) and that he's been looking into buying a new car and the RX-8 is on his list, but he either would like to get a test drive or me to test drive it...so i'm going again this week to test drive, they still didn't get my car fixed so I have to go there anyways... And definetely red is the color for the car... |
I really like this car... I`m lookin forward to your test drive conclusion..
Is there any problems after havin the car araound 2 years?? This is problem for buyin the car.. I dont know many things about engine.. |

the RX8 is a "unique" car..
i have alot of respect for it, but for the same price i coulden't go past a WRX sti, R33 GTR or even a evo, it may have the luxuary, but it doesen't have the pace of thoes cars. i think it will just be a car, owned by rich ppl, who don't drive fast /end rant |
i think the WRX is a good bye , however it is a bit common if you by somthing like this you will stand out, slightly

wrx evo and r33 are really good cars.. But u cant buy any of them with mazdas price.. Mazda is not so expensive.. I saw its 22000 in England..
And its performance is so good.. |
i personally dont like the mazda's but if you want a cheap car with good everything i spose thats what you go for

i like the handbrake, but as i said before, it's far to expensive, for what u could gte for the same price, ohhh and i like the fact it revs to 9010rpm or something stupid (can go higher but a fuel cut off)
and is it just me or are the new mazda models trying to look like the RX8? |

Mazda 6 is another nice car I think.. When the mazda 6 released..I read in AutoShow mag. They compared Mazda 6 with the new Opel Vectra.. Mazda defeated the Opel.. |

seen a few of those on the streets recently. i don't like the rear doors. i think it breaks the flow of the car...

Pretty hot car! I saw a yellow one of these on the road the other day alot smaller than the photo's make out....I remember seeing this at the show a few years back and it had the coolest little metal shifter! Wonder why they didn't make it with that shifter...although it was rather small...more of a selector...

Hey Wide how much is a RX-8 over there? In the U.S, the RX-8, EVO, and STi are in the $30,000 range.

i really like this car but i dont know alot about this motor, does someone have info on it and will it be cool in 2 o 3 years?

a mag i read said while it is slower than a wrx sti, it is a much more rewarding drive.

It's a nice looking car, and I might actually haul my lazy butt out to take a test drive. As to buying it, I wouldn't be sure; I'm a firm believer in the idea that you never buy a car the first model year it's out.
Besides, I heard rumors of an RX-7 coming out a few years down the road, based on the same chassis, with a tweaked Renesis motor to boot. Of course, that's just rumormongering I read in Car and Driver, so take it as what you will :) |
