Sweet ride btw!

Anonymous 06-02-2004 03:12 PM

hehe, sorry for being so doubful, excellent car :D , pity practically no-one under the age of 25 can afford to insure one over here as jon_s says

SPEEDKILLAR 06-02-2004 05:45 PM

Sweeet ride, even the colour fits the car, any mods done on it?

spyd3rr 06-02-2004 07:31 PM

nope no mods...but maybe a turboXS intake soon

insurance actually isn't bad at all cuz technically its under my dads name as a weekend car lol.

8oost0ne 06-02-2004 10:29 PM

And you got the best color... Congrats!! :D

sikx5 06-02-2004 11:27 PM

hang on.....are you in the UK? i thought the UK was right hand drive? the pics of the sti are left hand drive, unless your in the states.

spyd3rr 06-03-2004 12:48 AM

yea, the states, in h-town

gigdy 06-03-2004 01:18 AM

i always heard the sti didnt have a radio? or is it just an option?

schnell318 06-03-2004 11:27 AM

Those are the BBS wheels, right? Love your car I had seen one exactly the same and it looks soooo cool in white. I would specially like to drive one of these in the wet

spyd3rr 06-03-2004 12:28 PM

gigdy: yea, its an option. its standard now on the 2005 models but its an option 2004.

schnell: thanks! yup those rims are awesome...currently, they're gunmetal colored instead of silver because there's so much brake dust on it haha.

Garretts_turbo 06-03-2004 01:48 PM

ahhh...beautiful car, spyd3err. have fun with her!
the subaru dealership in my town has one exactly like this. i have drooled over it many times. i got some pics of my talon next to it, so hopefully those turn out!!

RAMAN 06-03-2004 03:57 PM

Spyd3rr, wherever you go, lock it tight!! The stock alarm sucked major ass and my WRB got stolen on 4/5 in NYC and was found stripped in Newark, NJ on 5/26.

From my experience, you won't gain much with an intake on the STi, turboback/downpipe(+ wastegate porting) would be easier way to go. :)

spyd3rr 06-04-2004 09:47 PM

HardcoreSRT4: haha nice. too bad u don't live down in houston otherwise we could go on a photo shoot.

RAMAN: thanks for the advice! sorry about ur car tho...sux how shit like that happens

arvster 06-11-2004 03:02 PM

damn .. what a nice ride

think twice about getting the intake:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ght=intake+CEL

AND

http://www.cobbtuning.com/tech/airflow/index.html

my CEL (check engine light, for the noobs) came on when replaced my stock tubing and UNIfilter with a K&N typhoon (short ram set-up) intake. A lot of people are having teh same problems with with mod.

oscargarza88 06-14-2004 02:30 PM

wow nice car!
do u have some more shots of the full car?
and btw in what part of houston do u live?

Drive4Ever 06-14-2004 05:50 PM

i thought the WRX STI dont come w/ radio? did u put it in?

spyd3rr 06-28-2004 03:34 AM

thanks for the info on the intake, but i've done extensive research and it seems that turboxs designs intakes specifically for Subarus so diameter is exactly the same, as of now, i've had it in for more than a week and it sounds awesome!!! the bypass valve is loud like a BOV and the engine sounds a lot meaner. the turbo also is a lot louder, perhaps thats the only bad part cuz it almost makes it sound like the car is wheezing.

and no, it doesn't come standard with the radio but it is an option.
