TVR tuscan
so besides ferarris.... this car rules them all..... so now lets go argue about it! :x :x :x
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5829/coolblue.jpg |
alrighty...so you've got a picture of a 360 Modena with CS wheels below the car you're arguing is the best...what am I to make of that?
|
ah...... read the first few words..... "BESIDES ferarris".... so i believe i am fully justified in having a nice modena as my sig. and see what u guys think of tuscans as my second dream car...... read carefully my friend :D
|
I did read them hehe...I was just giving you a bit of a hard time, sorry bout that...at any rate...they're both lovely cars, though I'd have to say I prefer the T350 and Sagaris to the Tuscan. The Tuscan is a bit of a bargain compared to most other cars of its performance caliber and it has more shocking styling than most of its competitors, I can't get enough of any of them hehe.
|
That particular car belongs to a guy on pistonheads. Reg is great: UR 02 SLO
|
i agree with thamar
any dickhead can buy a ferrari... but only a car enthusist will buy a tuscan plus a tuscan will humble a 360 for half the price |
yes he does belong to pistonheads.... i dont recall his name and yes his reg is bad ass... i enjoy tuscans they have more of a "custom" made feel to them.... not knocking ferarri but obviously tvr sells much less volume of cars a year..... they dont even sell in the US. so i guess even if i really wanted one, i coulnt get it anyway.... both cars are spectacular.
|
i love the tuscan
tvr is one of the best kept secrets in the automotive world i would prefer one over a ferrari cause of the price, the performance, and the look you get when people have never seen one before have any mags done road test on tvr's? |
um... evo has done one i think....they dont really show up much in car mags.... not at all in US. car mags... its a shame.... they'd embarass every porsche owner (cept the carerra gt)... there's a reason people who own tvr's call porsches "porkers".... hehe

Yes, the TVRs have a much better power/weight, but their suspension technology just isn't as refined as that of Porsches, and how could they - Porsche can spend amounts of money on testing and finetuning the handling that TVR propably can't even spend to develop a model. |
Did anyone check out the vid of tiff in california when they tested the TVR Tuscan at the stunt man training complex? Best part of that video is the attempted 720 while staying in one lane. Didnt pull it off in the tuscan but still Pretty sick stuff , The Tvr is definily a cool lookin car, and from what i hear at top gear is that this car is going to be in some movie with Travolta coming up soon, so its another car star for hollywood.
 |
no i didnt forget the gt2 or gt3... a tuscan S would kill both those cars... probably would have slightly more trouble with the gt2 but hey! sorry if i offended you porsche lovers..... yea i got that video w/ tiff its pretty cool....
really, i didnt know there bringing the tuscan back for another travolta movie.... the only other film they brought a tuscan here was the looney tunes movie..... and no im not a loser for watching the looneytunes movie.... i watched for the car..... hehe.. |

Well thats what the vid said and i didnt know there was a looney toons movie with this car in it ? when did that come out ? All i know is what i wouldnt give to go do stunt driving thats some hardcore drivingn they did with that car , thats no driving in a circle crap. Thats the real deal  |
yea i know, actually peace, i think this stunt driving thing is pretty old and the movie they were talking about was actually swordfish not a new one... unless topgear said soemthing recently.....
yep there is a bright silver tuscan S in the looney tunes movie (with brendan frasier SP?) look up "looney tunes back in action" its that movie and its fairly new, i think this year maybe..... |
Pretty sick i guess im just looking at really old top gear stuff that i pulled off of soulseek. oh well im behind the times  hopefully ill catch up soon when i can see some new top gear , but till then im happy wathing them beat up any car .
:D |
true that
|
The film that is mentioned by tiff which has a tuscan and trovolta in is called swordfish. the tiff video is old!!
EDIT:oh crap, you already mentioned that in your last post, sorry! |
Nice car the color is great. I really don't like the interior of the tuscan. It doesn't reflect the good exterior looks.
|
i like the interior, i think the totally unique shape of the exterior perfectly mirrors the great interior... yea thats a cool color.... tvr color matches any color you want....
|
its not all about which one gives u thebest speed for the cheapest price, cause if it was like that then Ferrari wouldnt be the most popular company in the world. Its the history, the emotions, the passion, the emblem, THE LOOKS!!! the sound!! and just the presence of the Ferrari that set it apart from anything else, and the prob with porsche, lol sure they look fast, but they dont look exotic.expensive unless ur talkin about the Carerra GT lol, i know porsche owners lol and they all say if they had the money they would get a Ferrari, cause porschaes are awesome cars, but Ferrari is Ferrari and its more then just a care, its a lifestyle and everything
|
I love the raw agression that TVR create there cars with, and they do that better then most car companys on twice the budget
|
ya they sound wicked too, there rated harsh high in the coollness u know what im sayin

Did you know at the NEC Birmingham Motor Show 2004 they had the TVR Tuscan 2 at it.
News and info on the TVR Tuscan 2 yay! (Got this news from 4 car!) Motorshow: TVR's stand TVR rarely fails to pitch up to a Birmingham show with a last-minute surprise on which the paint is barely dried, and this year was no exception. Not only has the Blackpool firm revised its brutal targa-topped Tuscan, it has also turned it into a full convertible. With twin rollover hoops bolted through to the chassis and a carbonfibre removable panel, it comes with the 350bhp Speed Six engine and is priced the same as the targa, at £39,750. All the Tuscan models - targa, Convertible and S - have been revised for improved aerodynamics, and the team led by Graham Browne and Peter Wheeler have reduced drag and increased downforce on the Tuscan S (developed for 400bhp and 310lb ft) even further, adding a front splitter similar to that on last year's TVR Le Mans racers. All these models, and the closely related Tamora and T350/T350T, have received suspension revisions with modified geometry, castor and camber adjustments and repositioning of the steering rack; all now have the electro-hydraulic power steering system previously fitted only to the more user-friendly Tamora and T350 models. Ride has also been stiffened on the Tuscan S, which now has a similar suspension set-up to the no-compromises Sagaris. TVR has done away with the combined analogue and digital dials, now fitting digital-only instruments for accurate readings. Besides the speedo, there is a digital rev counter with shift-lights, as in the race cars. Starter and stop buttons - last seen in the Cerbera - have made a comeback, too, and further new touches include door and window controls as in the Typhon, and thin, high-quality AFR audio speakers. The seats have been reshaped for improved lateral support, and seatbelt harnesses revised. Tuscan S models also have air conditioning, gas-discharge headlamps and digital radio. TVR also showed the first two Sagaris models off the production line; these high-spec variants of the T350 coupe will go out to customers in July, and are intended to be as close to the Le Mans cars as possible with lowered ride height, lowered centre of gravity, huge exhaust cans, lighter-weight composite bodies and a full leather interior. They are priced from £49,995. The first of the new related racing versions will compete next season (2005) in the international GT series. TVR continues to offer the T400 R (£74,995), T440 R (£79,995) alongside the recently announced supercharged Typhon (£84,995, delivering a phenomenal 585bhp and 467lb ft), as well as the "less extreme" and "more accessible" Tamora (£36,500, 350bhp and 290lb ft), revised for 2004 with modified front spotlights, repositioned taillights, enlarged cabin cubbyholes and body-coloured vents and diffuser. The Cerbera (from £41,000) remains in production as well in 4.2 V8, Speed Six and 4.5-litre 400bhp form, and for 2004, TVR is offering the 'Red Rose' conversion (£2350) which lifts the 4.5-litre engine to 440bhp and 390lb ft. nice pic looks awesome man
|
are the Typhon/T440R/T400R models going to recieve the facelift that the regular Tuscan and Tuscan S got? or are they going to continue with the "older" styling. I just now found out about the typhon, holy shit that is going to kick ass.
