neothealien 04-20-2004 10:28 AM

mini's rule.. I spent many miles with a mini and its one of the most fun cars you can drive especially on backroads

TT 04-20-2004 10:29 AM

Hehe, this IS a Mini :D the new one is sure nice and fun to drive, but the real Mini is only this one :D

Congrats :D

coombsie66 04-20-2004 03:46 PM

Nice!
^^ Yeah the new mini aint exactly 'mini' in any friggin way imaginable! My mates got one, its as big as my friggin focus!!! But then u get inside and there's no room!! Its like the reverse of the tardis!

SPEEDKILLAR 04-20-2004 04:13 PM

Sweet little mini, nice ride man, its really special to own a car like an old mini,
but you can tune them, I once saw a green one, with huge exhaust pipes, like the Lambo Murcy, the sound from such a little car.... WOW
It almost looked like a racing Mini, lowered and etc,...

coombsie66 04-20-2004 04:33 PM

Yeah, they do sound good when tuned up, the racing mini miglias are pretty rapid! They barely brake for the corners, just flat everywhere!! lol

gis 04-20-2004 07:11 PM

nice classic u got there.the mini is indeed one of the few cars u can build up speed in and keep that speed in pretty much all the corners, lol

skituner 04-20-2004 07:29 PM

i love minis old and new
my dream is to have both one day
nice mini

666fast 04-20-2004 08:51 PM

oscargarza88 04-20-2004 09:42 PM

sweey mini!
o havent seen pics b4
and hows the clutch doing?no probs?

novass 04-20-2004 10:50 PM

Awesome car dude! Ive always wanted an original Mini but there arent so many around here so they can get kind of pricey. One day though, I will have one. Looks like its in fantastic condition too. Sweet little ride you got there. :D

SFDMALEX 04-20-2004 11:11 PM

Sweet ride mate. I love the old Minis. Are you planning on doing any performance mods?

5vz-fe 04-21-2004 12:12 AM

I think there's an episode of RIDES in speed channel about customizing cars. One section of it shows 2 HUGE black guys squeezing into a mini.

That's almost like Krusty and his clown crew (forgot how many) coming out from the mini in one simpsons episode.

Anyways....that's what ur car reminds me AL123. Great car, with a long history.

PATo355 04-21-2004 12:30 AM

Lovely , that is a car to have

RC45 04-21-2004 01:19 AM

Great car!

The original Mini was for both my mum and dad their first car and for years we had several as a second car for my mum. They're such fun! :D

sameerrao 04-29-2004 02:01 PM

No i wouldn't want to hurt my baby!! :D i'm trying to get it in pretty much perfect condition, if i ever was going to do any sort of motorsport i would buy an old race/ rally car as they are worth significantly less to most people once they have been raced/ abused mine only has 35,000 miles on the clock and i want to keep it in good condition for the long motorway journeys between uni and home :D

jorge 05-15-2004 06:38 PM

nice car, it has a certain charisma that the new one lacks.

They fit trust me or it wouldn't drive or steer!!! :P
Don't really understand what your asking the wheels are standard 12 inch size, if you fit 13 inch ones to my car you have to reprofile the arches and as for 14 inch they are even more difficult to fit. BTW the earlier minis had 10 inch wheels!!

Though alloys are next on my list i'm gonna keep them the same size for ease of fitment

BADMIHAI 05-16-2004 08:22 AM

hehe. I used to love Minis. I still like them, but I don't love them anymore. Yours is very clean indeed. Nice job with the tasteful mods!

I'm gonna get some minilite alloys probably this summer they're about £300 including tyres so not to bad. The problem is with bigger wheel/ tyre combos are that they tend to rub on hard lock meaning you need to take material off or just remember not to turn to full lock  Also 13+ inch wheels tend to screw up the handling if not set up properly and you should really uprate the suspension to cope with the extra weight. At this point its all getting a bit expensive and time consuming so i decided to stay with the same size wheels and maybe lower the car to improve the looks. Though i don't want to make the ride any harsher than it is currently!!

coombsie66 05-16-2004 03:39 PM

Yeah, not exactly a 'refined' ride as they are!! lol, especially when uve got 4 up!
