NO!! Ferrari Maserati dealership burned down

Today a Ferrari Maserati dealership burned down in Hengelo in The Netherlands. It didn't only sell new Ferrari's and Maserati's. They also had a big collection of second hand cars, including 2 F40's, a 365 Dayntona, a 1962 Maserati 3500 GT, and a 1968 Lancia Y Flavia 1.8.

From what I heard, only a few cars have been saved. Sadly most of them were burned alive, including the 2 F40's

Yes keys. They had to move those cars to get them in safety and to make it easier for the firemen to fight the fire.

There would have been a 250GTO in the workshop of this dealership!!! It's not clear if this one is also burned....

These cars are lost for sure:

2x red Ferrari F40
2x yellow Lamborghini Gallardo
3x Ferrari 360 Spider
5x Ferrari 360 Modena
1x Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
2x Ferrari 550
1x Ferrari 575
3x Maserati 4200 GT
1x Maserati Spyder
1x Maserati Quattroporte
5x Ferrari 355 and 348

I also heard that rumour. But an acquaintance of mine who knows the owner of one of the burned 360 Modena's says there was no 250 GTO in the workshop. He also said the guy who owns the 250 GTO normally doesn't put its beauty over there.

Darkel 11-01-2004 07:16 PM

Hopefully ! :o

DeMoN 11-01-2004 08:04 PM

WOW!!! whoever the owner, or I guess the ownerS are... they must be wanting to kill themselves!

i know I would.

So how did this happen?

bmwmpower 11-02-2004 04:53 AM

2 F40,what a cars, i love those, im sad

dons5 11-02-2004 05:30 AM

i feel like crying especially for the 2 F40's the silver 550 Barchetta Pininfarina (if it didnt get saved) and the older cars

stradale 11-02-2004 12:02 PM

The last thing I heard is that there was no 250GTO present. The only 250GTO in the Netherlands is the one of Frits Kroymans, but it's highly unlikely that it would be at Munsterhuis, because Kroymans has his own dealership. Apparently a German customer of Munsterhuis has a replica of a 250GTO, so if a car looking like a 250GTO was present at the time, it probably is this replica. Not that that wouldn't be a shame, because in that case another 250 chassis and engine would be lost.

There's also talk about a customer's Enzo being destroyed in the fire. The press has been mentioning cars worth 500k to 900k euros from early on and an Enzo costs 909.000 euros in the Netherlands, so that could be a clue an Enzo might indeed have been destroyed. :(

Holy crap, is it so expensive ? It "only" costs 675 000 euros here
Anyway if it has really been destroyed ...

Wutputt 11-02-2004 03:22 PM

^^^
In the Netherlands you have to pay a huge tax (BPM it's called, if I remember correctly) which makes prices of cars in The Netherlands unbelievable high.

A little update on the situation: the Enzo wasn't there, it was picked up some days before the fire. So no Enzo was harmed ;)
The following cars were saved:

360 CS
456 GTA
456 M GTA
550 Maranello
575M Maranello F1
Daytone 365 GTB
(this means the 2 F40's were lost in the fire )

Maserati 3500 GT Coupé
2 Maserati's Coupé Cambiocorsa
Old Maserati Quattroporte
New Maserati Quattroporte

Apparently the Lambo Gallardo and Diablo were also saved and some BMW's, Audi's, Merc and Ford Ranchero.

ZfrkS62 12-01-2004 04:06 PM

F40 owners are either crying because that's 3 less F40's they can aquire  , or jumping for joy because that's 3 less F40's on the market causing the vlaueof their car to skyrocket

poor F40's :(
