saadie, Uhhhhh...... You mean like these two? :D Been there... done that... loved both of them! I sold them in October of 2006 and then a month or two later I got the SL550 and S550.

I just had too many rear engine (open compartment) cars. So when there was even the slightest chance of rain, I wouldn't take any of those cars out for a spin. :bad-words: I was always fearful of getting their engine bays filthy dirty and figured it would take hours to try and make them shine again!

I really do miss the Lambos though. They were really outrageous cars and their Pearl Paints were unreal in the Sun!!! And just like Pam Anderson.... you could see both of them coming from a mile away! Magwheel

The crazy thing is....every single car in that picture has been sold.

You're a wild man, mags. 8)

WHAT GT3RS gone? Seeing the most HardCore car gone, makes me think that there must be something else coming to displace it?

GT2 would be a suitable one :) I guess RUF is also fir sale on that side of the pond too. Maybe RT12 would be something to consider :)

Well anyways Congrats for the S65, it is some teleporter :) just making its huge mass disappear and move like a light weight.

But the F430 is still in the familiy! And yet we need new pics of the S65. You have ritten where you got the the first SL and the S550 and you don`tlike the engine from AMG in these cars, but why you have yet a S65? :D

master_jcp, You're absolutely right! I sometimes stick my foot right in 'my big fat mouth'! :silly: When I got the SL550 and the first S550, several persons asked why I didn't get the AMG versions since I love 'wild and crazy' cars so much. My response was I didn't think those style of cars in the Mercedes line-up made sense with Hi-Po engines. I felt they were just fantastic cruisers and not meant to be 'Hot Rods'.

Well.... I was wrong! The engine is absolutely fantastic. She's like a rocket during blast-off. Slowly the power builds and then watch out! Although the S65 weighs about 500 lbs. more than the S550 because of the 12 cylinder engine, the 604 HORSEPOWER :faint: more than makes up for the weight difference! I've had to pass several cars on the road already and all you have to do is tickle the throttle and bam, boom, bang! Houston..... we've reached outer orbit! No problem here!

Sorry about no pics today but I went to buy 20 50lb. bags of corn for my outdoor friends the deer, raccoons and ducks that are chowing down like crazy. :D I also started cutting the grass (7-9 acres) lower and lower getting ready for Winter.

I'll try for the pics the next sunny day. I think it's Friday or Saturday. Magwheel

master_jcp, She really was a fantastic and beautiful car.... wasn't she? As far as a new GT2, I'm gonna bum some of you guys out BUT... for the time being, I'm very happy with my present line-up. Of course I've said that before only to have succumbed to that very nasty sickness.... 'need a new car-itis'! :roflmao: Mags

Mags, I guess you have been pleased with your line-up before also. At least I would have been more than pleased all the time.

Well until the next time that is. Please write a little comparison and how those Mercs feel next to each other, s65 vs sl550 vs BE. I really enjoy reading your driving stories and well also all other stories you happen to write.

Hey... hey... hey... as Fat Albert would say! Will you guys cut that crap out! :slap: No sooner do you make subliminal suggestions about the NEW GT2 than my Cleveland Porsche dealer gives me a call yesterday and says he thinks he has a 50/50 chance of an allotment for a second GT2 in July of next year (2008)! He said he sold the first unit and wants to know if I'm interested in the second unit.

Surprisingly, when I asked him about the estimated MSRP, he said he thinks it is going to be around $180,000. I thought for sure it would be $190 or more because my 2003 had a MSRP of, I think, $183,000.

I know this will shock you all, but I'm really happy with my current garage make-up. The Ferraris are just so damn sweet to drive and the Mercedes are all-year round drivers so 'I have my cake and I can eat it too'!

He said he'll call me when the facts on the car come together but as of right now, I think I'm 'Quasimodo' about another 911 variant! Mags
