nice story you had there, so you have to push the gear stick down and then shift reverse, right? bloody bastards, they always want to make some surprice for you... like opel > pull the ring up on the gear stick and then shift reverse

just can't wait for the pickies :D :good:

I think the old and maybe new Corvettes work that way too. :)

SPANKY, I've never had the Rs up that high..... remember there is a break in period. 4000 rpm for the first 500 miles, 5000 rpm for the next 250 I think and the 6000 for the next 250 or so. That's what the salesman said to me. I don't know why but I didn't check the manual! DEMON, No I haven't even seen one (McLaren F1) in person. But from a review on Top Gear from Jeremy Clarkson I saw, he absolutely freaked out over the car.

I know the VW Golf uses it - maybe they transplanted a Golf gearbox into your Gallardo

Yeah I wasnt sure how many miles it had on the clock. But good to know your looking after it as you slowly get it used to seeing the rev limiter in the future

Did you get any other accessories with the Gallardo like hand crafted italian leather shoes or leather jacket or anything cool like that?

Hey man, i have to point out how humble you are, i guess i never thought to be able to read about a man's experience with such amazing cars and beeing the way you are...

i dont know if it is rude but ignore if it is but, why do you have to get rid of the maranello? space?

Your cars are just breathtaking, thank you for the pictures. I especially love the F430! I am determined to own one during some point of my life! Any write up on the F430 soon?

Your question insn't taken to be rude by any means. You can only stretch rubber so far and the same goes for a person's financial capability no matter what bracket you're in. For me, to buy the McLaren SLR outright without a trade of the Maranello would be stupid financially on my part. I'd be stretching myself and my bank account a little thin. Remember, my last name isn't Trump, Gates or Murdock!!

Did any of the car companies invite you to go to their factories to watch your car being built?

Or give you advanced driving courses with a racing driver for the model you were buying?

I'm hoping to do the F430 Wednesday or Thursday at the latest but right now I'm having a little trouble getting the pics of the McLaren and Gallardo put on to their respective posts. Hopefully just a temporary glitch. Michael 8)

wow, the reviews are great, thanx for putting them up magwheel.

I know we will all be waiting for the other ones anxiously.

I loved the Gallardo review, I felt like I was actually driving it, and I also can't wait to see the pics.

Like many said before, I want to say thanks again for putting your time into writing these reviews, we are a car fan community here who love these exoticars, and its a thrill and great pleasure to have a member like you here that can provide us with such entertainment of talking about these cars as a user and an owner of these fine exotics.

WOW, what great collection you have again...

I was also wondering if you ever had a Diablo in your collection, and if you did what you thought of it.

Thanks for your impressions/reviews dude! Much appreciated :!:

Now, I see me or Jabba should help you with the high-res but I got no PM/email from you, normal?

Jabba 03-21-2006 05:38 AM

I got the email from Michael and have uploaded all his pictures but I think we should wait for him to post them up...however in the mean time I am sure he wont mind a quick sneak preview :

excellent reviews of the SLR and the Gallardo. It's quite rare to get a review made by a "regular" driver and not by a journalistes. It was interesting to read your thoughts about "is it worth to replace it...", " do I need these features" , "is it worth the prize" on one side and the "just love the rear-air-brake-spoiler *dream* :D" - on the other side. :D

About the Gallardo: one feature I could listen to forever is: the engine start, this wiiiiiiiii- tone just before the engines awakes ....:love:  :D 8)

Thanks Michael for the review!
