RC45: I respect that you don't like the 360 but i don't see how you can say it's a bad car; its got a great chassis, great engine, it looks great, amazing sound, decent interior and you can hardly call it a slouch

Hhhmmm.. you just described my Z06 - except you left out one essential detail - it's faster that the 360,,, ;) :P

Besides - the 360 is a sell-out to the fashion brigade and fad generation.

The last real Ferrari supercar was the F40 - the last real Ferrari coupe was the 355 - the last real Ferrari super-coupe was the 550 - the last real Ferrari Grand Tourer was the 456.

:)

but then again most people who buy ferraris are posers who just want it for the badge not the car.....

the 360 isn't any less of a proper ferrari than the 355

mindgam3 there is no point to fight with RC45 he is to narrow, he thinks cause yuppies buy the car it makes it less of a ferrari, then again he is the kind of man that thinks F1 cars have active suspension and they should drive around on the north loop to improve the suspension in modern car (but i don't see any cars with torsion bars on the road do you? 8) )

and RC45 you can't be serious on the fact that a low rpm v8 of the z06 is a better sounding car then the high rpms of the 360 v8, you can't hear or just stupid, i think almost everyone on this forum would say the full throttle note fo the 360 is 10x better then the z06, the 360 is one of the best sounding road cars ask anyone even people who don't know anything about cars would say it sounds better

as for the interior of the z06 all I have to say is shit knob, your going to tell me that it looks good?

T-Bird 08-17-2004 08:25 PM

I would have to say that a low rumbling V8 sounds better than a wailing V8

Toronto 08-17-2004 08:32 PM

almost everyone

T-Bird 08-17-2004 08:41 PM

NO you shut the fuck up fucking Canuck!
I NEVER said I don't like the 360 I'm just agreeing with RC that there are waay too many of them on the roads especially around me and obviously in Toronto.
You must admit that it isn't blazingly faster than a Z06 also.
I like the sound of a Ferrari by all means but I absolutely LOVE the sound of a low grunting Rumble from an American V8 and you cannot say they don't sound amazing.

If F1 cars were allowed to develop unfetered by rules we would have such equipment on the road.

Subjective - and I have spent tens of thousands of miles with 12 and 14,000rpm motorcycles.. so as far as being exposed to superhigh RPM - been there done that :)

I personally prefer the agressive howling bark of an LS6 at 6600rpm over the motorcycle like sound of an 8500rpm 360.

As I say - you eventaully get bored of bike sounds :P

funny list RC45, but that isn't stock , what you didn't like the cube shift knob?

T-bird there can never be to many ferrari's on the road IMO

T-Bird 08-17-2004 08:50 PM

why do you weigh it down with all those heavy electronics that has to take like .0001 seconds off your 0-60 time.
And it might just be the picture but that shift baal looks huge.

Who says your car cannot be customized the way you want it.

That is a B&M Ripper short shifter with machined aluminium gear shift knob.

That's debatable... :)

RC45 i just noticed this while looking at your shift knob, on the driver air/con switch there is no white line to show where it is set at, like on the other one? is it just the picture or did chevy fuck up?

Far from fucking up - - it is dual zone climate control. The driver selects an exact temp from 60F to 90F and the passenger gets to set their side warmer or colder.

This is but one of the many memory set and recalled creature comforts.. :)

Nice try though. ;)

Toronto 08-18-2004 03:05 AM

i am talking about the white line painted on the knob? so you just turn the knob and the temp is shown on the screen but only for the driver, but the passenger just uses an anolog knob to set the temp, is that correct?

kinda like a volume switch on many cars were it shows the volume on the screen but there is no white line on the knob to show how much you have turned it from one side to the other
