Plus, if you promise be nice to me... I'll send you an autographed picture of me and the SLR signed 'The Beast and the Chicken'! :roflmao: The Mags

being 50+ doesn't mean you have to change cars every week to drive them all

good one with the Coke

btw: did you see that I wrote 50+, so IMO that was "be nice with me" -> looking foreward for the autoraphed photo :D

Check out my Tacoma. http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41357

More pictures will be added probably in a few weeks time. :D

Hey Pimp Racer, Sorry for the late reply. I bought the 4 door extended bed. Most of its use will be for getting corn and bird seed :D and occassionally hauling items too big for the Toyota FJ. I usually haul 800 to 1000 lbs. at a time and she has no trouble!

I had a 06 Ford F150 but was tired of driving a 'big' truck  so I gave it to my girlfriend's brother to finish out the lease. He had some financial problems and I tried to ease his stress a little.

Enjoy your Tacoma.... I really like mine. I just installed a Sirius Stiletto radio in her yesterday. Their channel selection is really great. I love listening to Radio Classics (channel 118) which plays a lot of radio shows from the 40s and 50s. Take care. Michael

Yeah... that's the ticket! And then there's the slight problem of all those 'drunken' pilots! :prr: The Mags

Damn, all these stunning cars and no classics? Why don't you venture into the classic ferrari market, magwheel? A 250 PF Coupé might just do the job

Here's a Quickie!

Well, after my turbulent last few months with selling and buying cars, I finally realized I needed some 'runabouts' I could spend more time in. :roflmao:

I really loved the Ford GT (but hardly drove it.... only 1000 miles in 2 years), so it just didn't make sense keeping her. And even though I did drive the Porsche 997 Turbo a lot more than the Ford GT, I just couldn't justify holding on to the Turbo when I could have the SLR in its parking spot! Being honest though, I also wanted to reduce the 'inventory' a little because I just had too many wheels and couldn't drive them all a decent amount of time. Having a lot of nice rides is great but having them, not putting miles on 'em' and only looking at them is 'assinine'! :silly:

The SLR arrived on January 11th. Amazing... truly amazing! :shocked!: The Crystal Laurite Silver and the Silver Arrow Red leather interior is just 'unbelievable'!

But... there are some things I'm slightly disappointed with. :-/ Some items that almost any one of us could have said, "Hey... McLaren/Mercedes... What the hell were you thinking?" Don't get me wrong, I'm very, very happy I got the car and glad I worked out the trade for her. She absolutely will be driven a ton more than I drove the Ford GT and maybe as much as I would have driven the Porsche 997 Turbo. Give me a few more days in the SLR and and I should be able to provide you with a pretty decent review and the comparison to the Carrera GT some of you had asked for.

In the meantime, I'll try and get nthfinity to post a few pics of the McLaren SLR and her 'brother' in their garage. It's been raining here for the last few days so right now I can't get come up with some decent outside pics. When the sun shines again, I'll try and take better pictures to provide you with.

By the way.... aren't those possibly the two finest pair of 'derrières' you've seen in a some time? Magwheel

wow man, just wow

I'll gladly fly out to see you and ur collection

I always enjoy your stories and its nice to know you respect the cars enough to sell them if you arent using them. I know a lot of people that would rather buy and keep them just to say they own them and one up the next guy.

Cant wait to see some pics of the SLR :D

Ya the Taco can just handle about anything and is I think the best mid sized truck out. We use the truck usually to move things such as small cooking grills, 2 or 3 propane tanks, big bowls and cooking utility when we hold a family gathering or something similiar and sometimes I take it to school. Really we had no need for a truck this big/nice but we just needed something another car to get us from point A to point B (We have currently 4 cars and maybe another will be coming soon.) My dad wanted to look at the prius and a few other hybrids and then he saw the truck and just completly changed his mind and decided to buy it. :D Also my brother and I kinda forced him to get it becuase we both liked it so damn much but too bad for my bro he away for college to enjoy the truck hehe.

Nice to see you help out your girlfriend's brother man! :)

Everything on our truck is stock but I have plans on getting a darker tint, maybe them blue lights which look very eye catching and some big rims around 20-22's :) But my dad also told me that I must get this with my own money so.....I will have to wait a while.....or after college.

Enjoy the truck and the new SLR man! :D

Looking forward to the review/comparision with the Carrera GT!

Take Care Rory
