oh, i already know that Alonso screwed being in 1rst by only changing his front tires and getting badly warn rears.... because him/the team are stupid... kinda "DUHHHHH" type situation, of course its going to ruin your handling balance.

I "read it" on live timing, and i'm going to record it in about 8 hours lol

but seriously....

how much passing didn't happen in the pits this race? It was anincredible "read" LOL

even with the "inferior" bridgstone's... that was none the less incredible from start right through the last lap!

Yep, Alonso did very well on damage limitation. Kimi's luck should change by next year.

Nth: Yeah, for the first time most of the passing are actually on the track, that makes it more exciting. This is one race worth taping :)

Awesome race! and viva Schumi!!!

Mattk 10-01-2006 06:11 AM

This is great! The leaderboard is tied, and Schumacher has all the momentum. Down with Alonso!

DeMoN 10-01-2006 06:34 AM

good thing i decided not to watch this BS race. Once more KIMI is out. If I could, i'd curse Schumi so he loses his last carreer run. I just hate him.

Mattk 10-01-2006 06:36 AM

Why? He's good, and better him than Alonso.

nejcdolinsek 10-01-2006 07:55 AM

FUCK! The most exciting GP of the year and I missed it!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x

I really hope we get a highlight video for this race....

Fantastic race ... I was on the edge of my seat throughout. Michael did a superlative drive - his performance this weekend underlines why he is unquestionably the best driver in the world. The only Bridgestone runner to qualify in the Top 13 and an amazing drive to clinch the win.

Excellent timing on the pit stops by Ferrari - it all worked to perfection. Hopefully we will get a repeat in Suzuka and this time perhaps Felipe to gather decent points too.

Good job by Scott Speed in the first part of the race but I dont know why he went backwards after the first third of the race.

Alonso pushes very hard on various stages of the race, I wonder if his engine will go boom boom for Japan

sameerrao 10-01-2006 10:08 AM

^^ Interesting thought ... but I don't think they were pushing the engines that hard any way because of the damp conditions. Alonso's fastest lap was about 2 secs a lap slower than dry/damp weather pace on Friday when the track was very green.

Actually Alonso got a good break - in the last three races including today's race, Alonso has 2 fresh engines to work with - this race and Brazil while Michael get a fresh lump in Suzuka only. A fresh engine in Suzuka will help as it is a power circuit. I think Brazil is not that demanding from the engine side albeit the uphill drive towards the last two corners taxes every hp available. :)

Well I can only say Bravo to Schumacher, superb victory of the one race he'd never won before! Another record for the books

The front tyre change and 2nd Pitstop from Alonso cost him the race, but nevertheless a very good and action packed race!

Interesting Quote From Button:

Quote:

"It was a really weird race because in the first few laps we were very strong, staying with (Giancarlo) Fisichella and Kimi (Raikkonen) and then after eight laps the tyres destroyed themselves," he said.

"It's really unusual and so different to what I have experienced before with these tyres. So I had to pit early, I pitted in lap 14, which is nine or 10 laps before we are supposed to pit. It was so early.

"I pitted, came out and again it was the same problem. The tyres had destroyed themselves again very, very quickly and I was five seconds off the pace and I really didn't know what was going on. We were back to 10th position.

"But as soon as the track started drying out and the tyres were pretty much slick, we were pretty quick. We were quicker than (Fernando) Alonso at that point when the circuit was dry.
