Yep that doesn't look so bad, still waiting on mine since it didn't come in on Friday as promised. :X
|
Finally got the adaptor and filterkit :D
http://img304.imageshack.us/img304/442/filter1vl.jpg Very happy with it, check the difference :o no polarizer: http://img290.imageshack.us/img290/82/nopl0sk.th.jpg polarizer: http://img290.imageshack.us/img290/4343/pl6gs.th.jpg |
Good news, and yes the difference is very noticeable in those pictures. :D
That adaptor you got looks strange, does it slide over the entire camera or something? |

Oh thats strange, my adaptor just screws onto the lens and then you clip the filter into that (like Darkel's basically, exact same filter infact).....but it all has the same effect in the end so its cool. :)

The polarizer is now spreading all over the world thanks to the Messiah :P
I still have to take more shots to be absolutely happy of it but I couldn't find any good occasion with nice cars (2 or 3 shots only and nothing special :/ ) BTW a few weeks ago I was really afraid, I tried to unscrew the filter from the adapter and then I had 2 pieces of metal in the hand "wtf  " hopefully I managed to "repair" it, it was just a shitty circlips  |
my first polarizer pictures :D
I did two with the filter on, you can see either the back window or the side window "clear", and the last one is without the filter. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/8...12666pe.th.jpghttp://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7...12674fv.th.jpghttp://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3...12684tw.th.jpg btw, I browsed this thread quickly..... My camera, a SONY V3, has also a 58mm diameter filter... I had to buy an adapter ring. Hint: don't buy the expensive SONY filter, there are other filters available with 58mm diameter (Hoya,...) |
Hey, welcome to the V3 club :D
Yep, their filters are really BS, way too expensive, and having a neutral one doesn't make the difference  |
Well done stmoritzer :D now if only somebody could find a way to fit two filters on a single camera, to set one in one position and the other in the second position and have no reflections whatsoever :D
|
I'm absolutely loving my filter - some of the best money I've ever spent! :D
Its still not perfect at times like you said when you have reflections from different directions - but for sure better then without one. :D However in certain pictures it is such a huge improvement that I don't know how I managed without it. :? |
With some angles it's hard to decide whether it's better to avoid reflections on the side of the car or on the back window ... and with some other angles there's just no really difference with/without filter :|
Life's hard :fadein: Still waiting for a black zonda in the sunshine waiting for me during a hot august day :P |

I'm really happy with my V3 so far, are there others using the V3... we could start a V3 thread |
