The ONLY symbol you will ever pick is the same as whatever #9 is (which is 10: 10 - (1 + 0) = 9) - no matter what pair of numbers you pick from 10 to 99, you will always end up with the symbol that 9 has.

That, along with the symbols changing every time (so you *think* it's always guessing the right one) makes it look like it can read your mind.
