Any highlights from Monaco this weekend Matteo?

2x 550 Barchetta (red and yellow with black wheels)
2x SLR (silver and black one from Florida)
1x CGT (black)
1x 550 rare prepped (red)
2x Superamerica (blue and yellow with black wheels)
1x Dino (red)
1x 997 GT3 RS (silver/orange)
3x Bentley Azure (last model, blue, black, black)
800 F430, F360, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls and such.
and many more I surely forgot

I've got 900 pics to edit, still 700 to go, but I think I'll post a best of after the Villa d'Este update(s)

Sounds good - and I'm going next weekend!! :D

Any hints and tips Matteo?

As for the pics - will you post some as you do with events, or will you put them in your already endless queue?

I think I'll post a "special" on my website. Like a normal 20 pics update but with present sightings.
But the whole lot will be queued yes. If I'll start messing up the order it will be a mess!

Hints, well. My biggest fear when in MC is posting pics identical to the ones we see from the regular hunters there.
Sadly, well, as you know, it can't be helped. MC is small, and most of the time the nice cars are in the same old places.
And if you want to see them all, you HAVE to be in the Place du Casino. either in front of the casino or on the other side of the big roundabout as I did.
You already know the drill: Hotel de Paris, Hermitage, Bay, Beach, Meridien, ex Loews, the garages, Grimaldi forum in your case ;) & the marina. Walk, walk, walk :D
But well, I still think the only way to see them all or 90% of them is never leaving place du casino. Tnhe of course you'll end up with pics like this:

http://img170.imagevenue.com/loc415/..._122_415lo.jpg

because there is always a nice car there :bah:

same for the steps in front of the Casino I guess
http://img133.imagevenue.com/loc557/..._122_557lo.jpg

I like to say on the opposite side of the roundabout, but not under the little balcony, but right against the cars parked there, so I can get the cars going down or coming up from the GP route:

http://img175.imagevenue.com/loc546/..._122_546lo.jpg

(not so common afterall)

The most "extreme" as a matter of "different" from other MC shooters was to place myself on the road in front and above the Bay Hotel

http://img153.imagevenue.com/loc463/..._122_463lo.jpg http://img104.imagevenue.com/loc1182...122_1182lo.jpg

But well, the key is not to miss a single car and if possible come home with some clean shots with no fucking tourists in them :D

I better stop with the preview now :D

Either it added it to his GT2, either it's a very well modded TT. I named it "Turbo" just to be sure
rear windshield wiper isn't on a GT2...

nice photos TT :)

Sure it is. Option M425

kompak 04-16-2007 12:55 PM

great photos!!!

luv 2 watch those photos...

BTW...what camera did u used?

dodo 04-16-2007 02:10 PM

Another word about the Porsche. I think it may be a Turbo, beause of the red break calipers.
The GT2 has yellow ones, hasn't it?!

To add a whiper is one thing, but why would someone "downgrade" his GT2 with normal breaks instead of the GT2-standard carbon ceramic breaks?

TopGearNL 04-16-2007 02:12 PM

^^ Good point mentioned about the breaks, that would be stupid indeed!

harryo2b 04-16-2007 03:31 PM

Brakes can be painted any color ($$$)

This would be for TT:
To easily tell the difference between a Turbo and GT2 look at the front wheels. If they have a half-shaft to each from a front diff then its a 996TT. No front diff then very likely a GT-2

dutchmasterflex 04-16-2007 03:56 PM

Yup, all you gotta do is check for AWD ;)

Hate to disappoint once again but the first batch of GT2's in Europe (2001) had steel brakes. Also since PCCB Gen 1. had major issues many owners swapped out for steel sets.

Hi Matteo! Amazing photos... ...but are old photos, not? In fact I don't see the effect of the polarazing filter

TT 04-17-2007 04:15 PM

Hello Simone and welcome. Yes, those pics were taken in August or maybe early September ... 2005 :!: :!: I was still using the Pro 1 actually, and although I did have the polarizer for it and used it on some of these pics, I didn't use it 100% of the time since that camera was more sensible to ISO noise than a reflex :bah:
