U forgot to mention.....much much lighter

^True. However, I was just trying to get across the point that on a racetrack it's the ability to carry speed from one corner to the next that makes a car fast, not how fast it can accelerate inbetween, and this is magnified hugely on a track like the Nurburgring, where there a huge number of corners and a lot of areas with cambers, etc.

i believe specifically it is 47 more hp then a 996 GT2 mk II

According to the Edo site the car in the video has 612 ps or about 603 hp so that is where i got my 140 quote.

As for the track speeds yeah suspension setup is a big part but like the weight a big factor is power to weight ratio so a 600 hp stripped out GT2 with race suspension plastic windows should make blistering speeds and times at the 'Ring.

Next time I am at the 'Ring and they are there I will try to get some true specs and detailed pics of this particular car.

Not just power to weight, but the weight transfer will be much easier from side to side making the car more stable in those snake shaped turns @ the ring

I suspect it is road legal, but only in the UK.

Same as this vid. Fastest lap on the nordschleife with a road legal car (6:55 min), but the car is only legal in the UK. They just drive everything in the UK haha, as long as it has got tires and a steering wheel...

Its road legal in Holland too!

Not surprised in a country where you can smoke a joint while banging a schoolgirl but can go to jail without a sentence for doing 100 Miles an Hour, or is it?

But great Laptime!

Semi-slicks tyres are road legal.
Cars like M3 CSL have this type of tyres as Factory Spec ;)

Yeah the Lotus Exige uses them tyres too, they use Semi Slick Yokohamas and the cornering speed is fenomenal

It is quite fast, but 600hp is quite something else from 483hp or whatever the GT2 mrkII has, so I think we can safely say more power had something to do with it...
