Seriuosly lucky that no one died at those speeds, could of very easily ended up as another statistic. I hope you all learned to SLOW DOWN, save it for the track.

and then you say he was doing 145kmh.....I wouldn't call that slow and soft
Its probably a good thing he crashed, maybe he and you will learn a lesson.....to many idiots like you on the road, an 18yo doing 160 is just stupid - but I somehow think your bullshitting anyway.

Mezevenf 02-02-2005 09:02 AM

Don't judge my driving, you don't know me nor have you *ever* seen me on the road. I know plenty of idiots who drive too fast for conditions, I was only doing that speed to catch up but slowed down *alot* before that corner (because I knew of the fucked up ditch). I drive the same as I did that night.

It was slow and soft because by the time the car was off the hill it was doing about 27km/h or less, sideways for a long while.

And yes, save it for the track. The streets are not a place to push your limits.

As for the bullshitting comment I've done 180+ on that downhill. Not safe at all, but any speed isnt safe. I'm not proud of the stupid speeds I have done in the past (I dont usually go above 130 there), their just fact.

Since this accident happened a good while ago I have had one accident in my car, I was driving through a car-park area (which I had never driven on) at night, suddeny turns into an incredibly fucked up gravel area, I went sideways into a gutter and bent my DeDion and one of my rear axles. That was an example of driving like an idiot.

Anyway, I don't really give a shit what people think about my driving, have a cry at my funeral, I just wont be taking any passengers/other cars along for the trip.

dingo 02-02-2005 09:23 AM

I don't need to know you, I can judge from what you have written  You even admit to driving at 'stupid' speeds......
I would say the conditions didn't suit doing 160kmh....11.30PM on a road with curves/corners isn't the best place/time to speed IMO :|
The carpark incident I wouldn't call that idiotic driving - thats just an accident IMO :D
Anyway no point starting a big argument as we won't agree.....and your a long way from me so you can't endanger me when driving :D

DeMoN 02-02-2005 11:16 AM

DAAAYYYM After a crash like this, how do you feel towards being in a car were the driver drives fast? I mean, do you still feel confortable driving fast or being with someone who drives fast?

Im affraid that if this ever happens to me, I wont want to drive fast again.

Mezevenf 02-03-2005 02:20 AM

I'm not comfortable in a car unless I'm driving, never really was after the age of 17. I've been with another P plater who rolled his old Astra, interesting enough.

And I think I'm going on a road trip to "South Perth" in my Land Cruiser :P

11:30 is a bit early, theres still some traffic/police around, I usually dont speed till after 1am.

Lol, I'm not really one for starting a huge argument either. I drive fast (only when there are no other cars in sight [bar when I'm chasing another fast driver]) and thats that :)

Well, nothing left to say really :)

 GO DINGO!!! Thats what I was exactly thinking but opted for the soft approach because i don't care enough to be direct.

Mezevenf, seriuosly join a car club and do track days, Auto-X, Motorkana, skid-pan whatever, so you can learn to drive properly and make your mistakes in place where it won't hurt anyone else and you can walk away from to tell the tale.

I've seen too many p-platers in with my own eyes get into serious accidents here already because they simply don't know how to drive and think they can.

I've been to tracks, I've been to skid pans and I've been to driver training. And I too have seen multiple P platers have accidents due to lack of driving ability.

Your just being prejudice towards a P plater. Admit it. Ho hum, it'll end one day, when I'm off my P plates, then of course I'm a better driver. :P:P.

I've never actually raced on a track with other cars racing however, I don't want to in case my car gets hurt :S

simply-your full of shit, your posts and attitude there in indicates otherwise. If you had any exprience at all mentioned above, your attitude would be different, due to understanding about driving in general, you would not be so reckless if so. I'm not being prejudice towards a P plater, I'm prejudice against; lying, lack of intelligence, and blantant disregarde for public safety.

This is my last post on this thread.

Mezevenf 02-03-2005 06:15 PM

I don't like being called a liar, but think what you will.

And all the speeding occurances you've been saying I was driving stupidly, I was and I'm aware of that. I never said I drive at over 100km/h *everywhere at all times*. I've done serious speeding on that hill in the past, but I havent done anything close to what I used to after that accident anyway, that part of the road is dangerous and I was a dick for driving that fast there in the past.

I never speed along main roads up and down the coast, I dont speed on highways and such. I do however drive fast around local windy roads, and by fast I mean 140 maximum on a straight section provided there are no other cars in sight.

As mentioned before you've never even seen my driving. I do agree with you on the fact that high speeds on dangerous roads is stupid, hence the reason I stopped that a while ago.

These accident shots were around the middle of last year, and throughout my short amount of driving I have changed my habits a lot.

Sorry if you got the wrong message. I'm not full of shit, as you say. And I am not as reckless as I was.

The prejudice towards a "p plater" was a joke too ;)

Why are you all having a go at Mezevenf? I fail to see how telling him to go to driver training will stop his friend from crashing!? You seem to be forgetting that he didn't actually crash.

I had heard that the whole obsession with the "speed kills" thing was getting quite serious in Aus, but i didn't think the car enthusiasts were buying it too! Give the guy a break! Most drivers speed and in most cases its not a problem, its bad driving that causes accidents!

I think speed does kill if you do it in the wrong places....which he has admitted is the case where this crashed occured :) I don't have a problem if someone speeds on a quiet road with no traffic as they only can hurt themselves, but doing on a curved road at 160kmh is dangerous IMO.
However he has said he knows it was stupid and doesn't do it there anymore....so case closed :P
