I have rogers highspeed, but not the ultra you speak of. I have one computer using the service, and speeds are quick. I download aat around 350 kbs max....it will be interesting to see how much quicker it is, because two years ago when i first moved to london I had sympatico highspeed, then the business highspeed which was supposed to be faster (it sold me on it because download and upload liimits were higher, and the 4 of us were using up too much bandwidth) but the speeds were not much better. I hope you get the 500-750 advertised, but between 4 comps, im assuming you may not crack 400....but thats still blazin quick if u ask me! good luck, keep us ontario folks posted about if it is worth it.

I got a bit of a downloading going but...this still shows the relative performance of it.
http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests...net/1102339335 Your download speed : 4665718 bps, or 4556 kbps. A 569.5 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 808407 bps, or 789 kbps. You do have to buy the modem. It's a one time 100$ charge but it's worth it, I never achieved maximum speeds on just rogers express. |
Guys so it actually is a normal high speed. Not extreme. The fuckers tricked me. But its ALL GOOD!
Right now at 10:52PM (BUSY TIME FOR INTERNET) Im getting 270KB/SEC download. I've been downloading the entire day to see how it is and thats what I got. 3PM to around 8PM I was getting 450KB/SEC thats more then what I should be getting which is 3mbps. So far, its awesome. Ill see how it goes tomorrow. |
