Guys are adding some pressure to Mag in the plate choosing. Only the best so far is acceptable LOL

twboy1999, Pimp Racer and Audiophile, Damn..... you really know how to put the heat on me! :shocked!: Only the best huh? Well, I gotta wait till I get my title so I can apply for the license plate. :( I can't reveal what it's going to be because some character could jump on my idea before I apply for it and get the plate I wanted. It's probably going to be about two weeks before I can get the title and apply for that plate. Sorry! Mags

Audiophile 03-20-2007 05:52 AM

Personally I'm more eager about seeing the review and pics than the plate. Sure a nice plate is a fine bonus but hey... GT3 RS is still one heck of a car plate or no plate

Damn..... I'm sorry guys! I had her out a few times already (including today) and just haven't thought of taking pics cause I'm having too much fun. The GF and I took the F430 out last night when we went out to eat. She is just blast to drive and listen too. :2gunfire:

Monday, I took the SLR to the office. Whoa Daddy! I'm really getting use to her and some of her pros and cons. One con.... Mercedes builds a car that can go a zillion miles an hour and then they go ahead and tuck the power port underneath the armrest so that when you plug in you V1 or Escort, the 'dang' armrest won't close because the the plug sticks up too high. Hey Mercedes..... "What the Hey?" :bad-words:

The steering on the SLR is a little hard at slow speeds which feels abnormal. BUT the good news is she really wants to get it on. In fact I can almost hear her saying to me.... "Let's get ready to rumble!" :slap: And that she does! Her exhaust note coming from underneath the front fenders into your ears is a song that you definitely want to hear! More on her later.... promise!

Now for what you been waiting for. A quickie take on the GT3RS. Woofff!!!
:shocked!: I took her to the office today, 30 mile round trip. She is an absolute riot to drive. The ride is as firm as a anything I've been in. I think it's a toss-up between her and the Carrera GT as to which rides firmer! In fact, looking out the rear view mirror reminds me of when I was riding my Harleys a couple of years ago! The mirror shakes so much that anything your looking out seems to have swallowed 'Mexican jumping beans!' :multi:

And then there's the gearshift pattern..... tight as a '18 year old virgin'! Niiice! I was lucky enough to have gotten full leather interior with 'Orange' stiching. Really dresses up the interior.

Please give me a few more days to get some pics to you. I'll try and take some pics tomorrow (Sunny and 67 degrees) and get them to you either Saturday or Sunday.

Again..... Sorry for the delay but it been so long since I've driven any of my cars that I become a 'Zombie' once I get in one of them and just forget about what's going on in the world!

As the Carrera GT plate says..... "ILL B BAC". Mags

p.s. Oh yeah..... we're taking the SLR to dinner tonight!!! :prr:

MIHALS 03-29-2007 05:44 PM

wow, great little story you have for us, thanx!!! :D

Enjoy your dinner and drive home safely Mike  :good:

TopGearNL 03-29-2007 06:49 PM

Thanks for the update Mags!

The F430 is a nice car for every occasion but the SLR is for special ones!

I can't even imagine how it would sound when you opened the taps just a little bit when your just cruising.

Anyway about the GT3RS, that car really means serious business. Its so rough you wouldn't be able to use it everyday I guess.. That car is THE BUSINESS!

Can't wait for the pics and the plate, no rush Micheal don't worry! Im sure its worth the wait!

Hey Erez, Thanks..... I'm having a great time in the RS. It sits so low you kinda feel like you're on a 'motorized' skateboard going like a 'bat out of hell'!

I checked the mileage from Denver, Colorado to Youngstown, Ohio and it's approximately 1400 miles and about 21 hours of driving time. Hope that helps. Michael :good:

Erez 03-31-2007 02:11 PM

8) yeah i can only imagine the feel of flying an RS on the highway next to H2s F-350s and such...
:D so its safe to say your happy with it.

well @140 average i could do it in 10 hours.. but i doubt i could rent a car for that..
(i'd be lucky if they would rent me anything in my age i guess.. :? )
well since the trip isn't all planned out already and we might go to Toronto first (family friends..)..
who knows i might stop by   (if its ok that is  )

anywho.. 0X for living the dream 8)

magwheel 03-31-2007 02:41 PM

Well I guess it's best to give you some pics of the GT3RS before you all get too belligerent! So here's some pics I took the day after I got her. We had 4-5 inches of snow that day! The pics are in the garage of the house I own next door to my main house. I had to buy this house and its 7 acres to rest assure the land going down the main drive (2500 ft. long), stayed pristine with its woods and little ponds. It's like coming home to a nature park everyday with all the animals and woods all over the place.

I was going to take some pics yesterday but I had the Carrera GT out and got all consumed enjoying driving it around everywhere. Heck..... I even drove it to my office!

I'll try and get some more pics of the GT3RS in a couple of days. Stay tuned to this channel! Magwheel

acmarttin 03-31-2007 06:05 PM

"naaa naaa na naaaaa naaaa"

Thanks for the pics Mag :good: Been checking this thread twice a day for the pics :D

She looks absolutely stunning. The Orange stiching is a great detail :P

But damn the FJ Cruiser is weird in the background

ViperASR 04-02-2007 12:11 PM

I LOVE THAT CAR

Another awesome purchase there mags, no matter what amount of "stupid money" you paid for it  I love the interior, really brings the car together. Must be nice to come home everyday to that collection

dutchmasterflex 04-02-2007 12:24 PM

Nice FJ Cruiser, but the all back TRD version what you should have!

silentm 04-02-2007 02:32 PM

i hope you can enjoy the car and drive it a lot :)

magwheel 04-05-2007 10:02 PM

OK..... got the title for the RS and ordered the plate. It should be here next week. I'd tell you what it is :prr: but I think showing it on the car will be a lot better. Plus I have some props I have to get to make it look even more outrageous! :shocked!: Magwheel

MC12 04-05-2007 10:11 PM

Your latest addition is very cool indeed. I love the 997 GT3 RS especially in the orange with black writing. Hope you have a lot of fun with this car  . Can you tell us how it is to drive it everyday though, isn't it hard to live with everyday :?:

magwheel 04-07-2007 06:28 AM

I'm really loving  the firm ride of the RS and the other hard core differences between it and the 997 Turbo I had four months ago. The Turbo might have been faster but the RS is just so much more outrageous looking  that the difference in E.T. performance just doesn't matter. Sometimes just looking good is more than half the battle. Just ask Pamela Anderson!

Now if you compare the RS with the 2003 GT2 I had, well that's a slightly different story. BUT.... if they do remake the GT2, it should definitely have a wild and crazy wing like the GT3RS and some other differences from the GT3 than make it stand out as the flagship 911 Porsche.

I took some pics with my camera phone of the RS being delivered on March 15th. They're only 1.3 megapix so the resolution may not be the greatest. I thought you'd enjoy the pics of the size of the truck that delivered the RS and how meticulous, Bob, the driver was at unloading her. Bob wore overalls with no metal buttons or other exposed parts. Plus he had on special shoes with non slip soles. Really great care by him and his company! :good: He even had the RS covered (inside the trailer) with plastic so that no dust would settle on her! He told me the trailer was 70 or 80 ft. long and the tractor was 30 or 40 ft. long!!!

I had Bob deliver the RS to a huge parking lot of a restaurant/night club I had owned. :silly: Wasn't one of my more brilliant ideas! We are now leasing the building and a large portion of the parking lot is not being used. Bob had to turn in once and then jackknife the trailer again just to get his rig in the parking lot. That truck and trailer were humongous! I hope you enjoy the pics.

Oh yeah... got the title and applied for the license plate. She should be here next week and I'll post some pics of the RSs rear end with it's new plate A.S.A.P. I need some props to help set the scene and make it stand out a little. Mags

magwheel 04-15-2007 11:59 AM

Well, I finally got the new license plate :onfire: for the GT3RS but the Sun won't cooperate for some nice pics of the car and the new plate. So in the meantime to keep the 'ball rolling' as they say, :roflmao: I thought I'd post some 'interesting' pics of my girlfriend's 'old' 05 Range Rover. She just got her new 07 RR a few month's ago.

Anyhow, I woke up one morning in August of 05 and guess what I saw? :?: It was a Blue Heron that keeps visiting our property. He was struting around the front of the house on our driveway. The next thing I know, he jumps up on top of her RR:niet: and starts walking around the hood (bonnet for you British gentlemen) and then decides to check out the windshield (windscreen)! :faint:

What a beautiful bird! He stayed a while until he saw my face which apparently scared the hell out of him :shocked!: and then he flew away. He has been hanging around our area for sometime but I haven't seen him in a couple of months. I hope he's OK. He likes to hang out in the backyard where there's a small creek and then just stands there like a statue. When a fish or other small animal (ex. chipmunk) come along, he nails it with his beak and swallows it whole! :2gunfire: Yuk! BTW..... we have a Blue Heron preserve on our next door neighbor's property (155 acres) where he says 150-200 Blue Herons hang out and make their home and nest  during the fair weather months.

Enjoy the pics and as soon as the Sun decides to make it's permanent Spring debut, I'll take some various pics of the RS and it's new personal identity plate! Mags :smilecolors:

Hi silentm, Yeah, I thought it was too but she decided to change it. She now has (OM CHICK) as her plates on the Range Rover. I can just imagine what you guys are thinking..... :silly: WTF !

In the last couple of years she's freaked out and become a health nut :drinking: and switched to being a 'Vegetarian' and started some Weight Training and Yoga and Pilates! Well she got me involved first in Weight Training (gooood!) and then Pilates (goood too) but I haven't tried Yoga yet. :niet:

Anyway, because she likes Yoga so much, she wanted a license plate that had some association with Yoga. So she chose that (OM CHICK). That's the sound they make when their eyes are closed, their hands are together and their heads are looking up into the sky....:prr: (maybe even Outer Space)! Mags :roflmao:

TopGearNL 04-17-2007 08:18 PM

Get a Lotus Exige Mags as an excuse for not taking on normal Yoga, getting into and out of that car can be seen as Yoga too

Ahhhhh...... the Carrera GT and the SLR isn't exactly 'a walk in the park' either TopGearNL. I think that's one reason why I should start Yoga!!! Mags
