Boasting nearly as much power as Ferrari's Formula One race car, the Koenig KS360 Modena is the first evolution of the ultra-desirable supercar. The 3,586cc 40-valve V8 motor – which can still be seen under the glass engine cover – has been stripped down to fit special Mahle pistons, which are lighter than the originals. These lower the compression ratio to allow for a pair of modified Garrett T04 turbochargers. The exhaust is custom-made for this car. At maximum boost, the V8 produces an awesome 600bhp at 7,200rpm – equating to 165bhp a litre!

Torque is also up to 570Nm at 6,000rpm and, according to Koenig, the KS360 Modena blasts to 60mph in 3.3 seconds and storms on to an estimated 210mph top speed The standard suspension system has remained untouched. Ferrari uses a semi-active set-up, and the computer does the work of levelling the car and hardening or softening the damping as is deemed necessary. This proves perfectly able to compensate for the additional power, as is the standard braking system.

Despite having front and rear spoilers added to the car, this Ferrari's owner wanted to retain the regular wheels and tyres in order to keep it looking fairly standard. However, Koenig has fitted new 9J and 11Jx19-inch wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Assimetrico rubber.

The twin-turbo engine conversion is the work of Konrad Gruber of Motoren Technologie Gruber (MTG) in Austria, but overseen by Koenig. A price for the changes would have to be agreed between the two parties.

I saw this car before on a forum, and my comment was and still is: I like the subtle tuning. :P

I wonder what it drives like on the road. I wonder if it is a pig. I assume so!

I really like the Koenig team, but damn those stickers are gay. Ricer all the way. Stickers just dont do it for me.

Never liked the "Banana 360". Its a pretty light mod actually. Koenig could have done much more. Tyson had an 1000+ bhp testarossa (TT), they may have kept the Banana fairly tame on the scale of things..

don't think so, F1 cars now have about 850hp from a 3,2 V10 engine (if I'm not mistaken).

I herd lately that the williams produces about 950BHP. People are saying that F1's got 850bhp for 3 years now.

Most of the top teams should be a tad over 900hp.

They changed it to 3.2L already? I thought it is 3.0L V10.

It's 3.0 and if that changes it'll probably be reduced not increased, there's already talk of lowering it to 2.4.

hehe, well sorry for the wrong info. I'm not quite following F1 up to date. The 3.2 was a few years back I believe.

Glue 2 turbos to one of the best NA engines in the world is something...disgusting IMHO.
I can't posses a Ferrari so modified...it's not a Ferrari.
Those german tuners.... :(

The car you have in mind is probably the Koenig Competition, a Testarossa with twin turbos and 1000 bhp. http://www.supercars.net/cars/1985@$Ferrari%20Koenig@$Competition%20Evolutiong.h tml
It's the most powerful Ferrari-based car Koenig has produced. They did a twin-turbo F50 as well, it had "only" 800 bhp. http://www.supercars.net/cars/1999@$Ferrari%20Koenig@$F50g.html
I like their always-go-OTT approach :) Decadence rules
