I just got my video capture card and I am wondering how to compress the videos so they aren't so damn big. I was also wondering how to get sound from my camera to my computer. I got this card:

Well you should connect the audio plugs in the camera to the input in the soundcard , then enable the audio input .

Most capture cards capture in AVI , so you need a compressor to MPEg or something like that . Try tucows.com you will find many software

VirtualDub is the best for compressing...very easy to use and quite stable. If you are looking for some extra effects than try Ulead software.
