Yesterday at around 6:30 on the way to watch the leaf game and play cards at my friends house, another one of my friends and I end up at a red-light. A old 1982 Lincoln or something pulls up next to us, with 5 younger girls in the car (looked about 17-18) so when the light turns green the girls start to race use, but we had no intention to because it was rather wet out because it had rained earlier in the day, and just started to rain again so we just started to drive as he would do every other day.
So my friend was doing about 10 over the speed limit about 65kmh, when all of the sudden the car with all the girls in it speed up and passes us, then makes it look like they are going to make a left hand turn at the next street, but they were going way to fast for their driving (if they had any) skill, so then they quickly swerve into out lane inches in front of us, my friend starts pumping the brake pedal of his 2001 focus SE, that has no ABS to my knowledge. So we are slowing down, but they are speeding up and then swerve again into the other lane but end up sideways, and they then flick the car back into our lane (right lane) but when they flicked the car the rear wheel hid an island and flew off the car and across the road all the way to a fence on the other side of the street, sparks fly from under the car and it slows to a stop in our lane.
My friend and I wait till all the cars pass then pull up next to them, we ask them “are u all ok, do u need any help?” they reply with a quick no (most likely because they where embarrassed) we go out of the car made sure they where all ok, game them a number to call for CAA, and looked to see if they had a spare (they didn’t) my friend fetched the wheel form across the road, the girls asked use to leave. Since my friends car was not damage, we gave them our phone numbers and name, and license plate of my friends car encase the police or something need a testament or something
But this was defiantly the highlight of my weekend so far!
The Wheel came OFF the car not the tire the whole wheel, never seen that in such a small accident
sorry i didn't have my camera so i couldn't take any pics to prove my story, but i could go back to the location and take pics of any small parts that fell of the car :D
