It is a Silvia then. I assumed it was but since ive only seen about 2 of them in real life, I was unsure. It looks different then some of the pics of Silvias ive seen before. Im surprised I missed that though LOL. The topic being Silvia Dyno Night and the license plate of the car being MY S15 T.

well there are different kinds of Silvia's S13, S14, S15 7TH one down is the S13, 6TH if i am not mistaken is the S14 and of course you know now the S15 is the yellow one and the 5th one down is the 180SX (i think or 240SX) usually mistaken for the Silvia models because it has the same basic body style or cues and also one of them is based on the other (not sure which one though). dont blame you it's hard to tell them apart. and the little Thunder Badge is only on the S15's.

no my friend is part of the group and i went along. siliva is my favourtie car within my price range, especially the s15. all the idiots were crashing theirs rasing the insurance premium. therefore i had to let mine go

check out www.silviansw.com for full results. check on the events section in the forum.

that R32 is the GTR. GTR can have the front wheels disconnected. thats what makes the ATESSA system so good. a lot of dragters have the front diff disconnected without phsically removing them

thats right. i think only america had the 240sx. it was a 2.4l NA engine. the rest of the world gets sr20det which is called 180sx. theirs a sileighty. which is silvia s13 front with 180sx rear. onevia is 180sx front with silva s13 rear.

i didnt know about the front attesa front wheels being disconnected the body looks like a GT-R but since it was on a 2WD Dyno i thought it was a GT-S with a GT-R conversion with the shaved badges :)

Here is a bit more info about the Silvia. The Nissan S13 Silvia is called a Silvia in Japan and most European countries. It is called a 200sx Coupe in Australia and a 240sx Coupe in North America. In North America, the S13 240sx Coupe used the KA24E(Zenki also known as first gen) with 140hp, and then the KA24DE(Chuiki also known as second gen). These were usless engines since they were used in the Altima and Frontier and tuned for low end power. The Japenese S13 Silvia used the CA18DET (175hp) for the zenki generation and the SR20DET for the chuki generation. The SR20DET was the only engine sold in Australia.

A Japanese S13 Silvia. The North American version looked basically the same but had pop-up lights.

Now on to the 180sx. The 180sx was basically a Silvia but it was had a fastback which added to the cars wieght. The chassis code for the 180sx was RPS13. In North America, the car was called the 240sx Fastback and used the same KA24E and KA24DE. In Japan and Europe, it again used the CA18DET and SR20DET and was called the 180sx. In Austalia it was the 200sx Fastback and used the SR20DET. All the vehicles basically used the same chassis but more performance oriented models like 180sx Type X were availible in every country but the North American ones :(.

A Japanese 180sx. The North American 240sx coupe and Autralian 200sx coupe looked identical.

A special version of the S13 was created called the Sileighty. It traded the pop up light from the 180sx for the triple projectors of the Silvia and used the fastback bodystyle. It used the same RPS13 chassis code and the same SR20DET motor. It is said that this car was created because when the Japanese drifters crashed the front end of their 180sx, it was cheaper to replace the front pop-up light with the projectors. Nissan noticed this and release the special edition Sileighty in Japan only.

The Japan only Nissan Sileighty.

Now on to the S14. Again called the Silvia in Japan, the S14 Silvia used the SR20DET like previous models with updated styling. The engines and names of the cars in the other countires also stayed the same. The only difference is that in Europe and Japan, the 180sx (or 240sx fastback) model continued until 1997 using the SR20DET. The fastback bodystyle was no longer available in the other countries.

http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/images/articles/i15/1530_3mg.jpgThe S14 looked the same in every country.

Finally, the S15 Silvia. This car was available in every country mentioned but North America and was called the same name in each country as the previous models. It still used the SR20DET but a revised variable valve timing sytem, exhaust, and intake, the motor now produced 250hp! It was now mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox but this tranny was considored weak compared to the rest of the car. The beatiful S15 Silvia's production ended in Japan in 2002 and the S chassis is long dead.

The beatiful final S chassis car, the S15 Silvia.

I probably forgot a lot of stuff and did not go into detail about the chassis but that would've taken forever...

LONG LIVE THE DRIFT KING!

well since you forgot about the car is known as a Silvia S14.5 in Japan, a 240SX SE in America, and a 200SX in Europe and Australia. The North American version is powered by a 2.4-litre, 4 cylinder normally aspirated engine which produces 150 horsepower. The last year the 240SX was sold in North America was 1998, which was essentially identical to the 1997 model. Oh yeah and the Silvia S13 is also known as K's. and the SilEighty is Maya's car from Initial D right? and here is a pic of a REAL SilEighty. Long Live the Drift Kings! Long Live the reign of the Silvia.
