I dont know, if you konw something about. a couple years ago, i listen lamborghini going to enter to the formula1 , but, i`m not sure, please if somebody konw somethin tell me

Well in 1991 there was the Modena Team SpA Team with Nicola Larini and Eric van de Poele which used a Lambo 291 Chassis and a Lamborghini 3.5 V12 engine

The Ligier Gitanes Team fitted Lamborghini 3.5 V12 engine aswell
In the 1992 season both the Minardi Team and the Central Park Venturi Larrousse Team used Lamborghini 3.5 V12 engines
In the 1993 seson it was the Larrousse F1 Team which used a Lamborghini powerplant.
Not sure about any plans for the immediate future but with the knowhow of Audi they (the VAG group that is) could follow the road which Toyota took. And using the name of Lamborghini for theitr F1 project wouldn't be a bad idea :fadein:

They tried the F1 some years ago with a team call Footwork (in 1990 or 1991) but it was a disaster, the engines were breaking and not enough powerful. An experience to forget. The F1 costs too much money for a small manufacturer like Porsche. Remember that Ferrari was supported by Fiat and that if it had such big budget it's because it had a lot of success.

If you're referring to Porsche you seemed to overlook the fact that Porsche supplied engines to the McLaren Teanm from 1983 untill 1987. And rather succesfull I might add :wink:

There was a rumour that VW was interested in entering F1 under the Lambo tag, but nothing more has been said about it. Anyway even if they did, under audi under vw, or under lambo it would take them many years b4 they would place in the top 3 let alone win.

well from what i read the CEO of the VW group has been at every race so far this season and is quite interested in it. whether or not it would be under the Lambo tag, who knows. Also Sauber is gonna be up for sale, VW could possible "tap" that.

last i read in Car... or Evo.. i can't remember which, VW was rumored to actually enter SEAT of all marks into the F1 game. odd choice but the article explained that it made sense.. still doesn't make sense to me.

They supplied engines to many teams, and had the Lambo 291 works car in 1991, which started only 6 races. The 3.5L V12 supplied to the customer teams failed to qualify most the time, and only had 1 podium in 80 starts. Not a good average.

The cars that were supplied by Lamborghini with the engine were:
Larrousse Lamborghini LH93
Ligier JS35, JS35B
Lola LC88B, LC89, LC89B, 90
Lotus 102
Minardi M191B, M191L, M192
Venturi LC92

He's also forgetting the immense amount of money stuck into their GT1 project for the FIA sports racing/Le Mans efforts. Not F1 money, but not a drop in the bucket either considering the time they competed.
