i never thought i'd see this day, maybe by Williams or Renault (or MB) but a Honda to come closest to Michael's fastest lap at Imola??? it's very impressive, and I hope this tempo carries on to race day.

Very impressive, but you know MS has always got the final bits right when it comes to the critical moment, so let's wait and see who will be on pole tomorrow. :fist:

Michael did a 1.20.084 in Session 1 when it was cooler and the track dirtier. That's nearly a second quicker than Button's time in the afternoon. So either Michael was running with more fuel in the afternoon or else Bridgestone has provided softer tires anticipating cooler temperatures than today's. I wouldn't count against a Michael pole position tomorrow..

agreed, if Jenson doesn't get ahead of Michael in qualifying, MS will be too fast to pass on a cool sunday race. regardless of Michael dominating or not, I'm pretty content with the competition for second and third places. With a pool of up to five teams battling for podium, that's more than i could as for the past few years. And that doesn't even count Jaguar and Toyota in the potential mix.

I hope that Webber and Raikkonen get some good results - they must be feeling down in the dumps given the way Lady Luck has sniffed them.

Looks like Ralfie boy is still struggling. God help Toyota if they get him next year!

BAR has grown some BALLZ this year woooot!!!! That or they slipped a little turbocharger in there where nobody can find it  That would be smart, a turbocharger hidden under the engine built into the aluminum frame that just gives just a little boost of pressure to the engine.. perhaps just 1.2 Bar of pressure... hmm anybody seeing a coincidence here? I know Ferrari have more speed and are probably running with a full tank of fuel and some lead weights in the cockpit, they'll be pushing 1.18's for qualifying..

BAR may have had some good lap times, but Michael will will put out record times nearly every lap in the race.

these times dont mean a damn thing. your making such a big deal out of BAR getting 1,2 in p2 that you fail to see that JB's time in p2 still isnt as fast as MS's time in p1. now take that into consideration and one might just come up with the conclusion that Ferrari might of been running some different setups??

and at the end of the race on sun is when you should be posting, but by then MS and RB will have won the race and there wont be much for anyone but Ferrari fans to post. not that i am bashing BAR and thier drivers its just i truly hate posts about practice times which mean JACK SHIT.

and i hope not to be eating my words come sun at 10am.

sorry but you were saying?
