PMSL! That rocks! You should get two of them. Split the lawn in half, then you could have races!

Jabba
04-22-2004, 01:50 PM
At two grand a pop I think I will get back to you on that one...

Maybe that would make a good fun feature on Top Gear...to find the fastest mower that still mows grass of course.

04-22-2004, 01:51 PM
Impressive :D Since you're thinking of tuning it, might I suggest this as a subject for the next photoshop contest? You might end up with some good ideas there, Jabba.

^^ LOL to all! man thats a beast, but i still think our family one has got u on the sound front! Ours is a 14 bhp V-twin!!! It sounds awsome! Apart from it only revs to must be about 3-4k. U can wheely em pretty good, if uve got a load of wet grass in the back and dump the clutch!
Ours is triple blade Hayter (i think thats the name, its green!) i had the joy of spending 3 hours on the fuckin thing cutting our paddock for the 1st time since last summer, last weekend! Got a little boring having to go in 1st gear and empty the grass bin every fuckin 20 feet traveled!!

Jabba
04-22-2004, 03:50 PM
Yeh I looked at the hayters...they are very nice....

The thing I like about the mountfield is (apart from the colour) is that you dont have to get off your ass to empty the grass box...and it holds 300 litres. I also got a nice place to dump it all as well.

Like you say though I am sure once the novelty has worn off it will be as boring as fuck and to think it will probably need doing every other damn week.

DeMoN

please jabba please take a pic of yourself on it! Have your supercars on the background lol that would be great! Oh yes, and put it as the banner too!

On ours you just turn round, and pivot the rear grass box open wiv a lever, to empty the grass out, so i dont need to get off me lazy ass either! the grass collecter on ours is a sweeping brush, run of the PTO of the tractor, and has a roller on it too, so u get the nice stripes in your lawn.

People actually race Lawn Mower in some part of USA, so maybe Jabbas can do some tuning and put some stickers on the side "VTEC INSIDE", I am sure you will be the champion.

LOL Jabba. If a redneck saw this he would kill you for it

04-22-2004, 07:02 PM
LOL Congrats on the purchase, I hope it's fun!

You know, stickers make everything go faster. Slap a Ferrari sticker on the side and you can mow your lawn in 8.9 seconds.

My steps for fun mowing.
1 hop on mower
2 cruise around as fast as it'll go
3 make neat design in lawn
4 get yelled at
5 mow rest of lawn as half assed as possible

Now that I live in an apartment, I don't have to mow the lawn.

04-22-2004, 09:11 PM
man, the riding lawn mower was one of my earlierst drives! 5 speed gear box with a clutch and all.... ours had a terrible rear differential, and 11.5 hp. best burnouts were in 3rd gear, and without the blades attached, it became a serious rwd mud bogging, and pond crossing beast... and all that after mowing 2 acres of grass to near golf course perfection (my dad thought it a good idea to have a 3 hole 150 yd course)

altezza
04-22-2004, 10:32 PM
Congratulations on your new purchase!
I thought the red vehicle is a Ferrari, got me there, haha :)

04-22-2004, 10:50 PM
13.5hp!?!?! Thats one hell of a lawn-mower!!! mine's 2hp! lol I think you should re-gear it and put on some nice chrome rims, then it would be the sickest mower ever.

Congratulations for fooling us :D :D as everyone was looking forward to see a red hot car and ended up looking at a red hot lawn tractor.

I think there is a race for these “vehicles” at the Goodwood festival (saw on TV J. Button and one of the F1 presenters racing in one of these). Are you planning to give the other racers a run for the money??
:D :D
With 13.5 bhp you should do better than Shumi. :D :D

i cannot believe all you sucks where fooled, when jabba told me, i said "golf cart"... so i was close.

btw jabba, u are aware that cutting the grass makes it grow quicker.. more u cut it, the bigger and more frequientley it will get in need of a cutting.

if the mower engine is quiet, cutting it could become nice and relaxing, and stress releaving.
