just wondering if anyone has any new info on when this car is supposed to come out. i heard that they are going to produce it but i dunno when or what kinda specs. personally i think this is one of the most beautifully designed cars AM has come out with, it is very close to the DB9 and vanquish but there are slight details that just make everything work exceptionaly well. also wanted some of your opinions on it.

Yeh I very like it. For info, there is always Aston-Martin's official website: http://www.astonmartin.com/db9_intro_base.html
Sorry I don't know when it will be availlable in store...(I didn't look for it a lot)

this car is beautiful...the best Aston design ever....I could easly see myself getting this over a 360... :? ....that'd be hard....in fact I wrote to Road and Track about this and they posted it on the magazine...I can't rememeber the issue...

Henrik Fisker (designer of the GORGEOUS Z8) is doing wonders at Aston, and with Ian Callum not far from reach, it's no wonder they're producing such sexy cars.
You needn't look further than the DB9 and the AMV8 to know that Aston is back with a vengeance! Thank you Ford for pouring money into this (Wolfgang Reitzle, not that idiot Bill III or whatever). They stunned us with the Vanquish (that NOISE - i get shivers down my spine just thinking of it), and soon we'll be blessed with these two.
The AM V8, as I understand it, will be the 'entry-level' car whereas the DB9 will cater to a more 'exclusive' crowd. Expect the DB9 to come well into Vanquish territory (even with the uprated engine).

As I said before, This is the best AM I have ever seen. Debuting on top 5 list of best looking cars with the Lambo Murcielago IMO! Love it more than I ever could love a woman! AMV8 will come out though not as DB9 but as a separate car. It should compete against lambos and ferraris from what I heard. It was shown in one of the motor shows. Forgot the name of the show, but it is coming out next year supposedly! Can't wait. This is one car i'd love to have even if I am 67years old. Just owning it before dying would be great!

the AMV8 was a the DB9's concept..
no...the AMV8 is a totally different car...it´ll be the entry level Aston competing against Modenas, Gallardos and such...
thats what the DB9 is.. isn't it? how sure are you of what you are saying? (cause i'm not 100% sure.. but i could check cia AM media site if you want..?)

Yes the car itself the AMV8 was a prototype but they will make it 2005! That prototype was shown before the DB9 came out so I suppose they took some similarities from the AMV8 and did the DB9. AMV8 pics have been out long time ago, however, they WILL produce it. It has been shown on autoshows, or at least in one of em.

The new Aston has nice gauges as well as very fancy door handles..........
and that all crystal start button.......That honda S2000 really make the start button trend eh. (or is it the Z8 create this trend......I know I know there are other super cars that have this start button thingy long time ago...but ...)

"In fact the design brief was to make the car look like a muscular athlete wearing a tailor-made suit." -from the article.
i think that sums up the design pretty well 8)

some styling cues are the same thaats for sure, but the AMv8 is very much a different car, priced to be around 100-150,000 britsh pounds, its to go head to head with the 360 , gallardo etc. the DB9 is the DB7 replacement, and was the db7 ever a car to be compared to 360's and turbos? i think not, and now that the db9 is a worthy successor to the db7 its more of a car to be compared to the 612 scag!

Callen: I had heard 100-130k USD, not Pounds Sterling. Big difference there. 150k pounds will get you a Vanquish.

k i know it late.. but i got the official word.. i was wrong you were right.. but you can see where I was coming from...
"Sorry for the delay in getting back to you....the DB9 is not the concept AM V8 Vantage that you saw last year....the V8 will be in the works within the next 18 months to 2 years.
