We cant see him till may , but we can read what he thinks about this gr8 car

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,588-1076890,00.html

"If you want a “fast” car, buy a Ferrari. If you want a “Volkswagen”, buy a Bentley Continental GT. If you want a “perfect” car, you simply have to have a DB9."

LOL

Clarkie's way with words is unsurpassed and his columns are a real treat to read, over and over again.
His opinion on the other hand is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I think we all can remember his ranting about those, in his opinion, awfull shift pedals on the steering column during his coverage of the Vanquish for TopGear TV.

I still can't wait for the proper Manual version, the Auto is well and good, but it's not the same.

Pat0355,

let's wait untill they review the car on TopGear TV.
I'm pretty sure Clarkie will continue to rant about the paddle shift system with, probabely, Richard disagreeing with him. Making it a sketch for 2, just like the Noble vs Morgan discussion :fadein:

Clarkson does have a pen for humour, and his witty delivery is something that can alleviate a boring day.

but yes, his opinions are just that, opinions. NOt necessarily based in fact and figures, just on his gut instinct. LIke all mankind, sometimes instinct can be wrong. :)

I like his way to describe a car, Clarkson is really special :D
Advertising men will tell you that when it comes to cars they need to attach a single word to the brand. So if you want a “safe” car you buy a Volvo. If you want a “reliable” car, you buy a Volkswagen. And if you have a small “penis” you buy a BMW

When you turn the wheel in a Ferrari it communicates with the front tyres using telepathy. The whole car lets you know that it could flow from bend to bend whether you were there or not. In the DB9, however, you are made to feel like part of the equation. You have to manhandle the nose into the apex, so when you kiss it perfectly, and you will, because this car handles like a dream, you feel like it was all down to you. That makes you feel good.

Thank you PATo355

A 'factual' review of the DB9 by Ian Kuah

I agree that he does write opinions rather than factual reviews, but then again there are so many magazines and presenters that will you tell you the exact the review and figures of a car, whereas Clarkson will just give a more light-hearted amusing and completely subjective rewiew in a way that only he can manage. Do you know any other writer than can create similes as good as him??

Nope,

that's why I one of the first things I do every sundaymorning is surf to TimesOnline in order to read his column

for a completeley subjective opinion i don't think clarkson is the right person....

his opinions are based on where the cars coem from - his own country!

no matter what they do or anything, he would love the DB9, his opinions aren't based on facts or anything, they are based on where the car has came from.

i still cannot believe, despite listing the ferrari as practley a ferfect car despite a "digitial clock" and then him saying that the DB7 was a better car??

and in the "shootout" video he even listed it as "more fun" (of all things!!) then a ferrari... mmm...

don't get me started on his anti BMW comments

I'm going to be Bias here,But I love Pommy Sports Cars and I reckon this one will top all of them...The way that Clarkson says about it,seems like he might buy one??Trade in the Merc for one?But What I like best about that article is that is that he pointed out about BMW drivers.
Quote" And if you have a small “penis” you buy a BMW." End Quote...
