it probably went down the hill at a very fast speed and then up the concrete stones explaining the scratches on the front it could have gone fast enough to have part of the car dangling in the air and still have momentum to push the car forward onto the roof and who ever did this is an idiot and also :fist: you whoever is responsible

from the direction of the car, I don't think it's possible for the Ferrari to land at that spot....

I think the question should be:

How can that shack still be standing?... ´Damn, that is one lucky owner...Probably had to get a crane to get the car off...

Are we sure this was not a stunt for a film :? with a jump just before the roof?? lol

If you look at the kerb, there is very little damage, something must have connected to push the car in the air. It looks like the front skimmed the roof, as the first section looks like it has been rolled back a bit. But if you look at the roof as a whole, the car looks to have just landed there. There are no marks where the car has been, nothing. Surely there would have been some tyre marks somewhere.

It would be interesting to see a shot from further away :?

Good interpretation jon_s! :) I understand equally your astonishment, because how a car that has enough speed for landing on this roof, have been able to brake for only to remain there ? Like you said Jon_s there are no tyre marks on the street and the roof. That's strange. :?

Come on :!:

Anybody who has ever sat inside a Ferrari knows that the little stick where the gearstick should be isn't actually to engage reverse on the F1 box.

It is actually a button that if pressed three times in quick succession makes the car jump. I believe that the old 550 could only jump a few inches. They have surely improved the system on the 575M, it now jumps more than a few feet

Arnt the front bumpers on ferrari's made from aluminium? Not fibreglass as in this case? This makes me think its a hoax, or a stunt for a film or sumthing.

 nice one!

I doubt the bumper is metal, it would not get throught the safety regs.

I swear the ones on the gumball vid on the 360's and F50 are alumimium, cus all the stone chips go right back to the bare metal?! :?

coombsie66

As in you could se shiny silver aluminium!!? I dun no, could be wrong, i did a quick search and the 550 comes with aluminium coachwork, wether that includes bumpers im not too sure. I'd just presume that ferrari would use abs plastic rather than fibreglas for their bumpers if they wernt made from aluminium as the rest of the coachwork is!? :?

You have reason coombsie66, me also I saw it in Mischeif 3000 vid, the front bumber of a 360 Modena and F50 are truly in aluminum.

It's therefore possible that the front bumper of the 550 is equally made by the same material.

 really, that is a new one on me. bobafett, what is the answer??

ok, I have neen looking on wrecked exotics fot the answer.

looks like the driver was going at a relatively slow speed, and just didnt see the turn (he was prolly getting head :D) and just slid onto the roof, which explains the scrapes. the scrapes also tell us that the curb actually helped to keep him suspended which the right wheel was unsupported. thats probably y u dont see much damage to the front end. thats just my interpretation, i could be wrong.

PS to get those yellow lines, i just lined up the tires , the scrape lines on the curb, and the dents in the roof.

No. No. You all have it wrong. This guy obviously bought the extra option of the hover packs (costs $50,000 extra). Then he was merely hovering along and then he ran out of hover boosts and that is where he landed. He was also traveling at a very slow speed when this happened and at a very low altitude (about 3ft) because he knew he was about to run out of hover boost. The fall from 3ft created the little dents where the rear wheels are sitting right now, but was not enough to break the roof. There now that I have shown all of you your errors, I am glad to be of service

It has just jumped straight up there. I was amazed buy the braking distance, but it isn't that unbelievable.

My version: The front bumper hit the curb first. The front was thrown up in the air, but when the left front wheel hit the curb the car started rotating (rising the left side, lowering the right). Then that poor thing landed on the edge of the roof with the rear right wheel still off the roof, causing the bump on the edge of the roof. That would slow the car down considerably.

I know the explanation isn't water tight, but it isn't very bad either...
