There is a rumor that there will be a CLK DTM which will be introduced in this
summer (only 100 will be produced)....each will be sold at €232,000....
some figures: 5.5L kompressor, 580HP, 1640kg,
This is all I know....oh yeah...and it looks like a DTM car....

Yeah...but with a more solid look! :)
WOW ... a great looking car... its about time the CLK got a harder make-over than the AMG models. It's sure to be a fast car, with great handling. :D

CLK DTM? It has no sense if they will now compete with the C class sedan :?
On this site you can see the preview of the new C class DTM car: http://www.mercedes-benz.com/omb/straffer/select.htm?mode=int

Isn't this car in Gran Tourismo 3? If not it sure does look similar.

I wonder if they are doing that just to get rid of spare parts etc...

Looks nice...but I doubt it'll find its way to the market....Opel was supposed to produce a few Astra OPC extremes (their version of the V8 DTM car) but I haven't heard boo about it...I don't think it actually happened unfortunately.

Uhm.. about the Astra, since the first pics were shown it was clearly stated that they were not planning to produce it as far as I remember :)
wow thats a nice car but in some of the pics of the CLK DTM the headlights look a bit screwed up but in the rest it looks beautiful :P

Muahahahahahahahawhwhwhwhwhahahaahahahahahah
I smell FEAR :x :x :x
To compare a DTM road version and the CSL is quite useless :D
The CSL is not a racing car for the road :P just a souped up M3 ;)

Its quite obvious your vision is blurred because you own a BMW, the truth is somwhere out there... :?
Uhm.. can you link me or point me toward a road test that gave a better vote to the E55 compared to the M5 or to the C32 vs the M3? None of the "good" surches would ever rate them better as for driving feeling and pleasure :D
I know that the SLK could finally hit hard on the Z4, but we will wait for that some more and we will see ;)

LOL, you two just need to except both companies are great, Sure Mercedes could loose a few pounds on their cars and make them more driver oriented, but hey from my POV, no one i know that has a BMW knows how to drive it for whats its worth (along with the majority of its cliental), especially since most on the road are for image  (same goes for benz) :( its a shame

i see the wink, but i think im confused? you want to see a BMW derrived from Mercedes/Benz vs. a DTM inspired BMW ?
EDIT: somehow i missed the fact there was another page, i am all cleared up now... sorta

Adding to SL AMG's pictures, here's the autoweek's quick view and facts on the CLK-DTM
http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content.mv?port_code=autoweek&cat_code=carnews&loc_code=index&content_code=01954881
Plus I gotta agree with TT that it can't be compared to the CSL unless the CSL feature the shirnk down V8 from it's race car. Also there's a huge price dif, the CLK-DTM cost more than 250,000 (accroding to the article) so, that's a totally different league

hmm comparing this car to a CSL, is so unfair.
This edition of the clk costs about 240,000 Euros, thats nearly 3x the price of an CSL....
anyway for 240,000 I rather have a Gallardo, and a normal daily driver.. thanks

Have two questions:
-Is does this CLK have a real sequentil manual gearbox or just the paddles?? Wouldn´t be surprised if there were just the paddles and a "conventional" auto.
-Why would anyone want to compare that to a CSL, is not only just the price... M3 CSL 3.2 liter I6 NA, CLK 5.5 liter Supercharged V8 that thing is probably going to be dangeorously close to the SLR. :?

Ohh i see, you´re probably right.
For the price I can buy 4 M3 CSL, easy choice for me. One CSL and one M5 e60 and still have money over.
Pretty useless comparing a CSL to a DTM. DTM will even kick SLR in ass. That is what mercedesfans should worry about.
