View Full Version : How long should the videos be kept up for?

On Jabba's request: a poll to know how long you want the videos to be kept up for. Bear in mind that the bandwith and webspace is limited, so the longer a video is kept up, the fewer new ones will be posted.
Jabba swears to respect the outcome of the poll as long as it is one day and a half.

I voted for one day. It's not a big deal if I miss a video. If I really want to see it I'm sure someone here would be nice enough to send it to me. Therefore, there isn't a need for them to be up for a long time.

Purely by coincidence I would like them to stay up for a day and a half. Because I prefer to download during the night (my downloaded volume only counts half then), and I would get another chance to download in case I missed it the first night. And obviously, for the rest I simply want as many fresh videos posted as possible.

i chose 1 day.
i dont d/l them as much as everyone from outside the UK as i have the opportunity to watch them on TV when jabba does and i can record them myself sumtimes,but if i miss one or there is one i aint seen b4,1 day is good enough for me seen as they go up mostly at nite and i can leave them d/l through the nite

Like I will this weekend. I voted for 1 day but maybe two would be better. Not that it matters really, it's Jabba's choice. He pays for the bandwidth!
Like I said before, if I miss a video I really want, I'm sure someone here would be nice enough to send it to me.
Screw social lives, I get enough of it at work. I won't count my friends as a social life, they are pretty much me with different names.

I think one day is fine, I sure if somebody miss some video, the whole community will sent without any problems. at least it will ensure new video every day, that's really a good thing.

LAUGHING MY GOD DAMN ASS OFF.....You honestly wouldnt believe how much truth there is in that....I have had a girl jump in my 348 once while I was at the ATM before (not the pizza place yet) ...(I think she was stoned though)...friends and social lives can be very very complicated and extremely expensive if not handled correctly...as I have found out very much the hard way before...

as usual...I had to be somewhere else...so I dropped her off at a pretty shitty nightclub...and she seemed pretty chuffed to be ariving in quite a nice car at the time...then I carried on to where I had to take the money to....thinking to myself I had missed out on a great opportnity for a quick shag.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: of course what I should have done was told her I would pick her up later...then get changed after I had finished my business then go back to get her...of course you think of all this after...as always... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :roll: :roll: :roll:

I think that one day is plenty, as that is 24 hours. So if someone works 8 hours a day, and has a 2 hour commute to and from work, there is still plenty of time to download before and /or after work, by the way, one can leave their computer on all day long, if you have a new computer with energy saver plus, where it basically shuts down after you have not touched it for about 10 minutes or so (that is what mine is set at).

i picked a day and a half, but its up to Jabba really. its not a problem if i miss a vid, which i have missed the past couple. but i can usually manage to check in once or twice a day to dl them. i dont know much about this bandwidth stuff so i really dont know how all this works. either way im happy, so i leave the choice up to Jabba

I think this is the best solution. Leave the best stuff up for 2 days and the other shows 1 day. The best stuff as in the Clarckson video's, Top Gear & Fifth Gear. I think most will agree with me on my selection :)

It was bizzare....I remember her getting her money out of the ATM...then she moved out of the way...I started putting my credit card in the ATM and was waiting for my money to come out...then she starts going on about me giving her a lift....but I was concentrating on the money coming out of the ATM...as I turned round... I see her siting in my car with the seat-belt on.....maybe she mistook me for a taxi or something....not that you see many Ferrari taxis I guess...

Yes they were the ones I was thinking off in particular...or anything over 100 MB as it takes me ages to upload them...it seems silly then to delete them before anyone has a chance to download the videos...

I would say one day for normal vids. And about two days for DVD/VHS rips. Because honestly I didnt get any of the latest vidoes because of work etc.

I voted a day and a half. Dont want to cause too much trouble for Jabba. It seems every time I miss a video its only by a couple of hours.
For the smaller clips 1 day is normal.. But the clips which are above 100 mb can be online for 2 days..
Somedays cant catch the file while its submitted.. So can`t finish the large files in 1 day.. As Jabba knows it.. (tnx again for your effort man..)
As a result I choose 2..
