how was the your first ride??

Well tell us how was the your first ride, when u didn´t know how to drive yet.

My first was in a block here near my house...i stayed doing many "laps" around it with my father on the passenger seat. He was talking to me all the time: "keep the speed under 40, under 40(Km/h)"...and i was at about 70...60...he stayed so nervous, and after a time he got used and didn´t talk anymore...

In the first 10 mins I was too hard on the brake,,,no feel what so ever. Did some laps at a HP building and then pretty much figured everything out within the hour. I was fairly confident very quickly,,, driving school was almost a waste of time. I NEVER parallel park in the area I live, there is no need.

My first lesson was in a 89 dodge turbo minivan. My dad took me out to an empty parking lot and let my drive it around. Driving was fairly easy for me because of video games. My reaction time and hand eye-coordination was good. I did have a tough time trying to drive manuel, because the car I had to learn on was an old chevy pickup with the shittiest transmission ever. It would randomly pop out of gear and it would stall even with a lot (almost floored) of gas.

First solo drive was when me and a buddy (13 years old) "borrowed" my moms 1973 900cc Mini Minor (the non-sporty Cooper.. ;))

Learned to drive in about 10 minutes... never looked back since.

First Drove my grandads Austin 1800 around a big round about,when I was 14...Kept stalling it but eventually got the hang of it...

um... well, my driving has evolved.

as far as car, the first car that i drove was a 1984 Licoln Mk VII (my vavorite lincoln ever) i was 12 almost 13 at the time when my dad asked me if i want to drive it the rest of the way home (about 4 blocks of residential roads). nothing special at the time except that i drove a car.

first totally solo drive was a 96 Pontiac Boneville SSE about 13 miles at night w/ my dad tailing me. the one piece of advice he gave me after that was i took the turns a bit quickly. this was about 2 weeks before drivers ed, which went totally smooth... except the suck ass piece of shit Neons.

on the range, i got yelled at the most, and had the fastest serpentine time of the class. the road, and written tests are what kept me from getting kicked out, as i was "well manored" in real driving situations.

and, of course, motorcycles, and atv's i had been driving since i was 11 years old, all of which were manuel trans. :)

first drive was in a VW scirocco GT2 that my dad had.took me a while to get used to the clutch,but after a few crunches and grinds i got there :D :lol:

I learned to drive fairly early. My dad let me take his Dualie (big ass Chevy truck) around the ranch a bit when I was only about 13-14. I knew how to drive a tractor when I was about the same age, my parents put me to work very early on LOL.

my first drive was in a 1991 Dodge Shadow 5 speed. i look back at it now and feel bad for that car's clutch.....i mustv'e murdered that thing. hehehehe.
my dad had an old bonneville (87 or 88 i recall) that he let me drive a few times.
then my mom got me the truck and things went uphill from there :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: ...god i love RWD.......

it was a 2001 Honda Civic, its pretty good. i'm driving a Supercharged 4Runner right now, but most likely i will have my civic back this fall so i can start doing some autocrossing :lol:

1996 Plymouth Voyageur, it was an automatic, and i would drive with 2 feet (from go-karting) lol, it was when I was about 14. When I turned 15, my dad taught me how to drive 5-speed in his 92' Accord. I burned up the clutch pretty quick, but after a few 'unsupervised' nite outs, i got the hang of it. and now its no problem to drive stick.
